QQs + what are your favorite cardass / bandai cards?

Been collecting bandai cards (mostly ungraded) whenever I go to Japan or look at Buyee (pre tariff times) for a while.

Also is it true that these cards were created in 1997 right after the 1996 Base Set was released in Japan?

I most recently submitted this bad boy for grading: 1997 POCKET MONSTERS CARDDASS 025 PIKACHU-PRISM

Been now researching more about the best of the best in the set / trying to collect a Gem Mint 10 collection.

I know the Charizard and Pikachus in 10s seldomly pop up. For example, I see this one here that was listed and saw that recent sales were around $4k CGC 10 and $15k PSA 10: https://www.ebay.com/itm/287247660831

Are there more affordable prizm cards in 10 that you think are worth buying? I like the Zapdos, Mew, and Moltres ones but those are too expensive for my tastes so I was thinking about just buying raw to start off and grade later on. Not sure if it’s better to try to buy raw and risk for a 10 vs. just straight up buying it since card grading costs keep going up.

The only things I think are worth buying are cards you genuinely enjoy. With that said its difficult to say I enjoy buying in this market as well.

Glad to see a fellow cardass enjoyer. As much as I like these remaining relatively inexpensive while I master set parts 3-4, I’m glad to see it appreciated, I think they’re some of the best art works that capture the OG Sugimori art style. My personal favorite are the checklist cards. Specifically the starters one.

The Alakazam line were so cool, if only they were holo. I love the dithered rainbow backgrounds.
