QotD: Which shiny Pokemon have a colour scheme that really doesn’t feel shiny to you and why? And which shiny one is the shiniest?

Maushold is actually not the first Shiny Pokémon to have this weird color scheme - the pattern goes waaaaay back to when Shiny was first introduced in Gen II, where some Pokémon originally having white colors (such as Dewgong @Quuador mentioned) simply have Shiny variants colored in a slightly different white.

I personally remember this by “blue-ish white” and “yellow-ish white”.

the SNES plastic in 1994 vs the SNES plastic in 2024

Also I can’t even tell if there is anything different in either. Is there the white and off white on them anywhere? I genuinely don’t see anything on them.

I really like shiny Arcanine. It looks like some sort of Raikou/Base Arcanine hybrid.

Swinub’s shiny is just horrible.

Yellow is a shiny colour, but I just feel like it really missed the mark on what cool things they could have done. I know Lucario is inspired by anime protag stuff, so the yellow/blue makes sense here

I’ve always looked at skins in Smash and thought they looked much cooler. The 5th is my personal fav
