Today’s Question:
QotD: What level of Pokemon cosplay would you do if all costume pieces were provided?

Helpful considerations: A headband with ears level? Wig or outfit level? Full on foam suit with interactive pieces? Random generic trainer and a plush pokemon doll?

Possibly Piers. I like his aesthetic.

My wife cosplayed Kieran, and that wig she made was awesome.

With eight other people, I would love to go around conventions in a Rayquaza “cosplay” a la Dragon dance.

i love costumes and dressing up!!! but my limit would be anything where my mobility and/or vision is impaired to where i’d require a spotter for getting around and not bumping into people. it gets old!!

I would cosplay Gholdengo if I get to keep the authentic costume.

You just have to push on through everyone, even more authentic if its a grumpy looking pokemon. The real problem with those kind of costumes is the heat.

I’m not really one for dressing up, but I’m slowly working on my Pryce cosplay. Should be ready in about 40 years.

Making the cosplay is the fun part though, lol

For Halloween one year, my wife and I were invited to a party, the one requirement being you had to dress in a pair with someone, so we went as Teammates. This is a very, very good card in our favorite format (GLC), so we each brought our copies as a prop. I made both of our costumes, and it was a ton of fun! We still bring them out occasionally for events.

Now if all of the materials were paid for though, I’ve been wanting to cosplay more NPCs, mostly my favorites: Lillie, N, Dawn, Cynthia, Illima, etc.

this is actually so true!!! the number of progress pics i always take vs the number of pics of me actually wearing anything is proof for me at least lol

I like the creative part of low budget cosplay but i always forget to take pictures of the process and the outcome. :man_shrugging: im sure there are some pictures of me out there somewhere from peoples old convention photos

How do I become an owl?

Used to be pretty interested into cosplay a while back. If I had to choose a character, it would either be Bruno, Lance, or Gary/Green. But have always thought some of the gijinka designs for pokemon were pretty cool as well, and considered pulling one of them off.
