Today’s Question:
QotD: The “Mega” madness goes too far, grading companies all converge to one mega company, what is their perfected criteria for Pokemon card grading?

Helpful Considerations: A new 10,000 point scale? Less dart board and more roulette wheel? Ai decides your cards fate? Its just a scam for the gullible and will always keeping the grading fee?

Authentic and fake, the grading scale only causes problems, the owner can determine the condition of their own cards

they would need to use a combo of AI for defects, scanning a card and using pixel length for precise measuring/centering and have someone look it over. All on a 20 grade scale. 1 out of every 100,000 cards will be a 20 and people can go nuts. My binder cards and my old premerger graded cards will watch the chaos ensue from the sidelines.

A 5 point scale - Mint, NM, LP, MP, HP, that only focuses on the condition of the card, not centering.

Then just put the 4 centering scores on the label, seperate from the grade

Cut wages, cut grading time from 31,3 seconds to 22,2 seconds per card, cut additional quality controls, increase upcharges, sign a strict exclusivity clause with Fedex, tighten relations with eBay, increase propaganda/astroturf budget, cut slab costs, renegotiate terms with affiliated sweatshop manufacturers, significantly increase budget to developing addictive mystery products, give legal team more resources to investigate gambling loopholes, increase scouting of celebrity brand ambassadors and increase their compensation, invest in card cleaning products, finally apply for a patent on numerical card grading and bribe the USPTO officials needed to make it happen.

Fortunately, I have no idea what “mega” is, since my knowledge of pokemon ends in 2006/2007. Ignorance is bliss tbh

EDIT: Also, grading is a scam

Fire all the graders. Just send an invoice for different level grades, and whatever they choose is what you list on the magic paper slip if they pay enough. Employees doing the slabification are required to eat Cheetos while doing their work.

Stop making micro dents that require a loup an automatic 6. Make all heavily played modern cards a 1, nobody cares about 2-5.
