QotD: Most obscure non-tcg item in your collection?

I remember seeing that, thought it was so cool!

I’m honestly not sure lol, I was trying to use the translation but was a little confused. I had the whole back story before because I had asked, wish I acquired it myself when I was stationed in Japan.

Good evening and excellent pick for this thread. This Pikachu card is actually an “All-Area Completion Certificate” that you would get when you completed the 2018 Meitetsu Stamp Rally.

To complete this rally you would have had to acquire six Area Completion Certificates across the Meitetsu rail network, which was divided into six areas. Each area required collecting five stamps from designated stations/locations. The sixth area (the “Adventure” area) also forced you to visit non-station spots.

Out of curiosity, I asked AI how much travel it would have taken.

“A motivated adult could finish it in about 10–12 hours in one day. Most people needed around 12–18 hours total, usually over two days.”

Overall, a Pikachu well earned lol

I added some photos of the Collection Book and Rally Map

That is not a phone card, but the golden “certificate” card for collecting everything during the 2018 stamp rally event in Nagoya held from July 13th until September 2nd. You can read about it here!

Thank you and @Miss_Frizzle for schooling me, when I bought it at the time, I was told it was a phone card and back then I had nothing to go by. I just loved the artwork and now with a sweet backstory, thank you <3

That really is cool and thank you for sharing, now I just feel lazy buying it from him LOL (I did my American patriotic duty). Definitely feels awesome owning it knowing what it takes to get it.

I don’t find that weird, it is actually really cool, I think it’s really cool to see niche items that aren’t overhyped. Always enjoyed E4’s SS <3

We both learned something! I was looking at it thinking it doesn’t look like a phone card, so I did some quick searching and found the link I had sent in my previous post  glad I could be of help!

I remembered, I DO have these pins, but IDK what they are exactly, or how obscure they are. Anyone have insight?

I found some information here: TCG-Pre-releases – PokéPins | Pokémon Pin News and Gallery

Not sure if they were region-locked or something.

Hi!

I have found this two-pager in one of the Shokugan magazines I own - this is in the October 1998 issue (2nd Grade).

Just in case anybody is interested in the context.
