Today’s Question:
QotD: If you could make one pokemon real, which one would it be? (This was a suggested question)

Helpful Considerations: Cute and fluffy? Large and exotic? Something to be a moneymaker?

For me, since I was a kid watching the show, I always wanted a silly Haunter. I think that takes my vote now still.

Strong, but knows how to have a good time.

Mega Lopunny.

I’ve always liked Ash’s Bulbasaur and Jame’s Growlithe for their personalities. They were both loyal and loving companions. Either of them would be a great buddy in real life. If we are talking general species, then Vulpix.

Ah, the moneymaker route. Going to have a line around the block at your… petting zoo.

$5 per pet, $15 if your alias has ever been pfm.

Whichever Pokemon I have the most valuable cards of, since it would inevitably cause prices to skyrocket and allow me to retire.

Heck, if only one Pokemon could be made real, even if it was something like a Doduo or Slugma, all of its cards would go nutty in this hype-fueled environment.

This is a difficult question for a few reasons:

  1. Conceivably, I would need to reasonably house the Pokemon or at least own/rent property where I could protect it from poachers, paparazzi, police, etc. This makes me lean toward a smaller Pokemon and one that would not draw a lot of attention.

  2. I would have to think about what it must be like to be the only real Pokemon in the world. I imagine that this would be quite lonely for a lot of social Pokemon. This leads me to a Pokemon that could interact with conventional pets (e.g., cats, dogs, bunnies, farm animals).

  3. Safety of my living quarters would have to be taken into consideration, as well as the desired climate of the Pokemon. As much as I would love to own a Flareon, I would be living in fear of accidental fires. This pushes me away from Fire type Pokemon, Ice type Pokemon, etc.

Given these considerations, I think I would choose Rowlet. :owl:

However, if we have to worry about it evolving, I would pick Shaymin. :hedgehog:

Chansey but multiple so they can take the pressure off human nurses. They could help out at a human or veterinary hospital but it would have to be purposely built so that they had space to move about comfortably.

Imagine waking up from surgery and this friend-shaped egg is bringing you food and medicine:

You’d heal 50 times faster.

That’s kinda why I went with Haunter for similar reasons you posted. Who would believe they actually saw a ghost?
