Purchased from China?

Anyone have good luck purchasing from China, eBay specifically? Any issues? I have seen a lot of cards lately I’d like to pull the trigger on but I see the delivery and I’m like a child “I have to wait that long”

I’ve generally had good experiences. All of my purchases from China to the US have included tariffs in the shipping cost, so I haven’t needed to pay separately.

If you’re buying singles you may run into sellers who are drop shipping. Sometimes, a (drop shipping) seller will tell me that the card is out of stock and they need to cancel my order.

I had a relative ask me about buying Japanese booster boxes from Chinese ebay accounts and why they were cheaper than the Japanese accounts. Anyone have insight there?

I did see that, PFM. My brain didn’t want to brain enough to make sense of it. Would love some insight too!

just be careful cuz a lot of them are selling pretty decent fakes of stuff and most people buying them are 1: not knowledgeable enough or 2: by the time they figure out their card/product is fake, it’s past the refund window so they are just stuck holding the bag

I’ve seen those as well but always assumed they were fakes or scams. If the price is too good to be true etc etc

But I haven’t actually tried buying one to see so maybe?

They may not ALL be fake, but definitely repackaged/resealed. I’ve seen videos of the repackaging machines, anyone with money can purchase one and repackage cards with real packaging, but the hits are not going to be what you’re looking for (top hits). I just buy from reputable sellers in Japan or better yet, just buy from trusted stores here in the US.

Like @bash2112 said, if the price is too good to be true, it probably is.
