Good afternoon from England
I was just wondering if anyone knows the going rates for the online codes(in Pounds and Pence) and alos if the cards opened from boosters are actually worth anything?
I see the digital codes for cards online all the time, do they sell? is there a decent market for them?
Excuse the questions but im just curious I do have alot of codes and a fair few cards on the gameā¦but never really played it.
Cheers
Greg
Ill just quickly state I dont want a full list of card values just if they are actually worth selling and the codes general values. like 25p-30p a code etc or different sets command more
Codes vary fairly widely so you would really need to look them up by set. Booster codes sell in lots of 10,36,50 and 100 commonly. Ballpark of 35 cents each I would say. Some of the collection box/battle deck/tin codes can be a decent buck as well especially older theme decks like dark hammer (~$20 per code). Most single deck codes are a buck to a few bucks each and sell slowly.
If you have significant amounts of codes and the time to do so, I would sell by set in lots portioned as I mentioned above to maximize return. List them right alongside other prices up on eBay now. Get an app for your phone to scan them in (also if you have the time) to simply message them to the winning bidders. Beware that eBay will not side with you if they open a case and you donāt have a tracking number, but I have almost no issues with that and I sell 5-10 codes/code lots per day.
Auction listings are risky, but if you donāt have the time and are just looking to get something out of them, you can go that route but I would be sure to put quantities of each in the description. Vague code lots go for real cheap at auction.
Good info! I have 2000 or so code cards I have no use for and need to organize them and get rid of them.
Is there any app recommendations for quickly scanning the codes and making a text list of them? Iāve used a computer app once that utilizes the webcam but it was rather antiquated.
I am using āPTCGO scannerā it isnāt bad, but thousands take a while. There may be faster ones out there. It needs some other QR code reader app alongside it to work.
If a buyer claims āitem not receivedā you will lose the case and they will be fully refunded. @geg89
I have had great success with sending codes and not having issues with this overall, but it does happen on occasion. On my normal cards I get at least 1-2% or so claiming not received on untracked singles under $10 which I have to refund, but it is a much lower rate than that for codes.
Some people will only mail the physical cards for a combination of factors. Not wanting to scan them, avoiding item not received issues that I discussed above as well as keeping tracking uploaded to maintain top rated seller status.
ah I see! Thank you I always record, track or make sure there is full transparency when selling. However you still get people trying to scam you and you cant do anything haā¦thats why my description small print are usually hugeeee
