I would just sell them bulk via Ebay.
The websites you mention only pay a tiny fraction of what you can get on Ebay, and it’s more work.
Looks like they’re selling on ebay for around ~$0.20/piece. Places like here: ptcgo.co/sell-us-your-codes/ are buying them for $0.07/each.
Do with that what you will
Thank you all!
ebay for the premium price, code apps to move quickly for pittance
Do the codes ever expire? For some reason I’ve just been saving them since they were first introduced. If not, do their prices vary at all?
I don’t think so. i have black and white codes still XD Prices vary depending on the play-ability element, the sets with strong playable Pokemon command a higher premium. That is generally the same with new sets for a little bit after release as people are testing the new cards and decks.
Their prices do vary somewhat, with mostly whatever is in Standard being the most valuable, and especially if they contain staples/highly playable cards (Darkness Ablaze being one example, with Crobat V in the set). As sets move into Expanded, they generally get less valuable, though some buck the trend due to certain secret rares that are valuable in the online game. Then you see another rise in prices for older sets for which packs are not as easy to find now (mostly Heart Gold/Soul Silver packs).
@bbobrob, thanks very much for the explanation!
You’re saying those websites/apps are more work then eBay?
Yes, I chuck all my code cards in an envelope though.
There’s no way Im scanning pages of hundreds of code cards
