Hi E4, I am thinking of sending a card to PSA for review but would like to pick your brains your opinion on whether it would be worth the risk (I am terrified of possible damage from shipping/handling), costs and time. I have never sent anything to PSA for review before.
Please find some photos below. The front is fairly clean and the issues are mainly on the back - there is whitening on lower left corner and also a white dot print defect.
If you’re trying to get it to go up from a 9 to a 10, I don’t think it’s worth it. The damage on the back will prevent it from getting a 10 and you’ll likely just get a 9 right back. I don’t think there’s any point to review. But if you’d like to take a bit of a risk for a small shot that it gets a 10, go ahead and review. In my opinion, I think there’s a low shot of a 10 just based on small chipping and the fact that it already got a 9. In the end though, it’s up to you whether you want to try for the 10. Good luck!
I don’t think you should send it in for review. It will be a waste of time/money. There are so many strong 9s out there. I highly doubt that psa will deem that card a necessary misgrade, crack it out, and put a 10 label on it
For those who have submitted for review, what has your success rate been? I have some cards I think are potential 10s, but I’ve always figured they’re not going to be upgraded on review due to graders giving deference to the previous grade. And I’m not about to crack four-figure cards.
