I was wondering if people could share their experience with the review service of PSA? I am thinking of sending some PSA 9 cards as they seem to have a chance on a 10.
Did anyone here ever get a 10 from a 9 with the review service?
It seems like PSA could just think they should leave it a 9 to not confess a mistake on their side… i don’t want to crack open the cases and regrade the cards as it’s too risky for those expensive cards.

I’ve sent in several cards for review (all 9s) and a good percentage of them have come back as 10s. While I do think there is some bias in the grader seeing the original grade and not wanting to increase it, the review service is good because it’s a way to get a second opinion without either risking the card by cracking the case, or getting caught up in the supposed ethical dilemmas that arise from doing that.
In all, I think you have a lower chance of scoring a 10 than if you submitted the card raw, but it’s certainly a significant chance.
