Wow look at the difference percentage wise between Japanese 9 and 10, and English 9 and 10. They’re almost reversed.

Also porygon 8th most graded card from the first series of Pokemon. Interesting.

Poor little type:null pokemon that hasn’t been graded yet :slightly_frowning_face:

I think it mostly has to do with the massive population of the CD Promos

My initial thought was that the CD promos really altered that statistic. Then I took a look at their pop reports, Snorlax and Porygon blew that theory away. If you toke the CD promos away there would be another 5,000 card gap in the numbers in favor of 10s to 9s.

@pkmnflyingmaster, good work. I love things like this.

Cd promos…lol.

And an interesting fact: Those were all taken out of the general population/distribution. They weren’t special ordered above the planned production. It should give you an idea of the massive amounts of promos Media Factory produced across the board.

Krabby being the least graded Pokemon from gen 1 made me laugh. I keep coming across the $1k+ listings for that “error” Krabby. This data point goes to show how little value it’s actually worth.

I’m really considering sending in the whole ice cream evolution line.

I’ve almost done it in the past for the ice cream memes alone. (Like when I graded the hanson bros). Now knowing that it could be POP 1!!! ice cream evo line? Damn I get a chill just imagining it.
