PSA is big enough at this point that I don’t think they care about the occasional controversy. None of these sorts of situations are going to affect their bottom line in any way, period. Do you think people look at this and go “they messed up some random dude on the internet’s card and didn’t pay out full value!! I’m never using PSA again!” I really doubt it.
Edit - not to say it isn’t a terrible situation for him. Just that PSA has such a monopoly at this point their give-a-crap meters are probably pretty low these days.
