PSA 10 Neo Set on 1999 Shop At Home Network

My friend linked me this video, some of you might have seen it before, some guy enthusiastically hawking his PSA 10 Japanese Neo set on Shop at Home Network (apparently from 1999).

Looks like these cards are not worth much these days but what’s the story behind this? Did they used to be much more valuable or is this guy just first to market “POP 1!!!1” hyping these up because the US market may be unfamiliar with Japanese cards at the time?

Lol this video is thrown around here quite a bit. That guy is Ken Goldin of Goldin Auctions. Just pumping cards that people in the US didn’t know much about at the time.

Man that’s awesome what an absolute legend. Guy could have sold me a stack of bulk with that pitch LOL.

Everyone makes fun of this video and how crazy Ken Goldin sounds but what people don’t realize is that he’s actually being held at gunpoint the whole time.

I downloaded and archived the video here in case that footage was ever taken off YouTube PSA 1999 Japanese Neo Labels - "Double White Star"

One of my favorite videos ever. Always makes me laugh

There is nothing Ken can do in his life that will outdo this achievement!

People look back at this and laugh at his larger-than-life sales pitch, but don’t realize that their favorite influencers of 2023 are orders of magnitude worse (although more subtle)

It amazes me how someone can have so many words for this. That’s some talent.

There are entire degrees in how to speak for days (or years) on something after you’ve said everything you already know. Possibly the most impractical of these degrees, (yet somehow very useful) is commonly referred to as a bachelor’s of philosophy. :sunglasses: :skull_and_crossbones:
