Prismatic Evolutions Cancelations

Unfortunately English distributors have been doing this for years.

Why live on middleman margins when you can get both middle and end margins.

Its not the first ive heard it which is why i bring it up. Im sure it isnt a completely common practice but I dislike people defending shops gouging customers because they have to make average profits but not blaming distributors for throwing a truckload of cases to the streamer opening before official release. Its not the average customers responsibility to make up the margins of a shop because the shop got shortchanged on one product rotation.

I can assure you that Australia and New Zealand are not a bigger market than the EU. The only pattern I see with Pokemoncenter.com expansion is that they focus on English speaking regions exclusively. That’s why I half jokingly tweeted that they’ll probably expand to St. Kitts and Nevis before reaching the EU when the AU/NZ expansion was announced.

Oh i know but they nevertheless have stores

I’ve heard that places that don’t order PokĆ©mon are ordering as well. People on X today are posting delays specially from Walmart and Target. Some even with cancellations.

Wouldn’t surprise me if selling smaller numbers to more people makes more cash for distributers as it works that way in other industries.

So box breakers becoming ā€œstoresā€ and taking smaller amounts are diluting the discounts and availability for actual stores that would normally take larger amounts.

And the breakers still get it cheaper than rrp so they don’t care.

I think there are alot of new customers in PokƩmon TCG so this is happening the first time for them.

Honestly these sites need to be review bombed and reported.

I’ve had some cancelations happen, and some go through as I was charged yesterday. It’s just a hype set.

Yea i saw some people on twitter saying distributors are hoarding product and upping prices. I know it wouldnt be the first time english distribution was up to no good, but it doesnt seem like theres any hard evidence suggesting foul play is the reason behind prices (other than the product somehow finding its way to rip n shippers before release)
