The 247 came in a trade from a great customer who was completing a thick set.
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I see… That sucks about beckett… No pristine. There retarded, and no ones ever going to get a complete pristine base 1st edition holo Set. I feel that PSA is quite harsh on the centering, but its a happy medium really and you can achieve a 10 grade… But Beckett, condition wise there is no Happy medium for there PRISTINE GRADE… YOu can achieve the gold one rarely, but probably a fair bit on Japanese stuff, but forget english and forget achieving a Black label 10 on english… Good lord.

Hey Gary. A thought and a question.
First, this s an adorable photo with your daughter and I would smile every time I saw it with a listing if you did end up using it.
Question: Is the black label too elusive to be practically sought out? I ask because it seems like with the rarest cards, there’s a chance at a PSA 10 that is already so, so slim. But if this level exists with a grading service that people just know old cards and production standards mean will never be given, do they stop caring? What do you think is the advantage, if any, of the black label as a policy or, if you think it is primarily irrelevant, what do you think it adds/takes away from the grading experience?

Basically cards graded by Beckett are also given subgrades from 1-10 for Centering/Surface/Edges/Corners as well and if a card achieves a 10 in all subcategories it gets a black label instead of the standard gold ones. Refer to:

Although other black label Pokemon cards exist now, I’m fairly certain it’s still in the single digits.
That’s waaaay overpriced but if someone wants to pay that more power to them;)

I think my Charizard is the only English base holo card of any edition to get a 10. I also have a BGS 10 Glurak.
Plus, I sent in a few dozen 1st base PSA 10 holos that were primo and none crossed over to a 10.
Now Black Label? I just think it’s impossible. I do have the first Black Label Pokemon card…a 1st Ed Jungle non holo Kangaskhan. I think it’s still the only BL English card?
So anyway, BGS 10s are so hard to get on an english card I don’t think it affects anything. Now Japanese cards grade sooo much easier they could affect the graded card market.
Yes there is black label xy7 stuff syuju17 had and I have old school ex that is in pristine gem condition and I think my stuff would achieve the black label… Has that perfect crisp boarder like on syuju17s hoops full art that got the black label. I’d really like to cross my stuff over. If there ever was a black label 1st ed base zard… How much would you pay Gary… HOW MUCH DOLLANz I SAY!?!

I don’t think there’s any other WOTC cards with a black label besides my Kangaskhan? At least there were no others before my Khan.
Yeah Im trying to get a loan from my sister, but scott should give me a lone instead… Ill pay him 2,000AUD interest if he lends me 4,000AUD rofl or you could lone me it gary lol xD… Too bad your Khan is not a HOLO… If it was, then that would be really sickness. I would pay 20,000 plus for Black label charizard if I had it, and it existed and my sister would be recieving many messages. xD
Sorry to derail the thread a bit, but I’m curious — how does one go about getting attention for Pokemon-related stuff on Instagram. Through the use of tags? I’d love to share a picture of my TMB No. 1 Trainer on my (very inactive) Instagram account, but I’m guessing that nobody would ever notice the post.
I think you tag a big wall of tags and copy it into the comment section. You can grab my lot of tags I use and copy the wall of text to your photo comment section on da photo once you post it… My instagram is pokemonsyndicate

There is no need to put the tags in the comment section, just do it in the main post.
I cant put tags in the main post. I cant copy and paste anything on the app, cant figure it out so I just do it on my pc and it takes like 2 seconds. I dont know how you guys do that shit. lol.
Are you using the main Instagram app? When you start tagging, it automatically predicts when you start typing.
That being said I can copy and paste so I don’t know why yours can’t. It might be a device issue as I am using an iPhone.
Yeah Im on android and using the main insta tab. I can copy stuff, but I cant seem to copy peoples entire TAG WALL of TEXT there for id be there all day trying to type each, or copy each tag singaly. I dont think I know how to copy each tag Singaly either, so… YEah… BUt its okay man, apparently its still the same, and the tags will work just fine even in the comment seciton.
It may be the same, I was just highlighting that the advice you gave to make it in the comments can be done in the main body of the post as well.

Oh man Instagram is a fun and exciting way to connect with people of the same interest! There is a large Pokemon fandom on Instagram and it would be insane to have you on there as well. You just need to get Instagram on your smart phone and one can upload pictures from your phone. I scan my cards and upload them to my phone. However I need to use another app called Square Fit to put full size scans onto Instagram. When your making a post you can tag them with for example (pokemon) That way people who do search pokemon will see your post! Go for gold my friend!
