Hi guys, I have a question and really need your help.
I have a chance to buy:
Pokemon Plasma Storm Elite Trainer Box, in a very good condition, however they are asking aroudn 14k!!. Which is fine if you look back at the last 2-4 sales on PriceCharting, However, if you look at the last 1 year you would notice that the price ws around 4-5 k.
My question is: how likely that would be a scam? Just price manipulation for the market comps?

I know this isn’t a helpful response, but seeing this marked as “vintage” is made me lol.
There’s one on ebay right now for 23k, so…that’s a price point.
theres more than one recent sale at 14 or more, im not sure how helpful referencing 1 year ago is. May as well be 1999
This is the answer. Right now this seems like a fair price. Will it be cheaper in a year from now? Maybe. Or it will be twice as expensive.
I sold mine for $5k years ago, so would expect them to be higher by now
