Hello. I have struck up a deal with this seller, but he seems to be charging alot of money for his cards. I’m new to pokemon and I can’t tell the names/ set numbers on most of these cards. Could y’all help me pricecheck this whole collection or even better, name specific cards in here that would be worth above $10-15+? This community has helped me alot of times before and I really need you guys to come through for me one last time, Thank you!!
If you don´t even know what you´re buying, don´t buy it.
set symbols: cardmavin.com/pokemon/pokemon-card-set-symbols
raw prices: www.trollandtoad.com/ or www.tcgplayer.com/
As for your picture I didn’t see anything of particular interest
I’m not trying to be rude, but surely this is a troll? If its not, follow @shadowless advice
Search eBay for each card, it’s something that’s quite trivial to do. Some of those cards are worth $10-15 I can at least tell you that.
@lamplamp, I’m not a troll. I simply want to a start collecting without overpaying.
Seconded. E4 is happy to help new collectors, but it’s not sustainable to ask us to do the work of valuing a purchase for you. Look up the cards and their values yourself via Pokecollector, bulbapedia, eBay sold listings, etc.
If you don’t have the time to do that or don’t want to, you shouldn’t expect other people to do the work for you so you can get a deal.
Put in the work. It’s worth it.
Sure thing, I’d start by following the advice of the others in this thread. Check out Bulbapedia or something like Pokellector to help get an idea of what sets each card comes from. You can use eBay sold listings to get a rough idea of what each cards recent value is.
You should also ask yourself why you want to purchase this particular lot. If its for a few specific cards, you might be better off just purchasing singles on eBay. The best way you can start your collection is discovering what you like and buying individual cards.
I apologize if I was coming off as rude earlier.
This is the same guy as last week who thought base 2 was a check mark and we linked him set lists there too. Clearly just asking others to do his work and is blindly buying cards.
If you’re trying to flip cards (your name is Pokeflipper, so I assume you are), you’re going to have a lot more success learning the ropes on how to evaluate cards. Asking here isn’t really going to get you anywhere, especially when TCGPlayer and eBay are readily available, easy to use, and much, much quicker than waiting for a response.
Want to make some money? Do some research. It’ll bring you a lot of success.
Pokémon flipping without knowing Pokémon just seems like a losing proposition and shit loads of wasted time flipping through garbage bulk that people sell.
eBay is your best bet. But even then, you really need to have an amazing grasp and value/condition.
