Both are under 10 pop. I love the troll grade of 8.5 These cards will forever stay in their prison cell a.k.a. PSA 8.5 grade.

Jokes aside, I do think we should be careful taking the slippery slope of PSA numbers as factors for everything, since where does the slippery slope end? Is it only valid when we use PSA, or PSA + BGS? Does CGC have enough clout for PSA + BGS + CGC to be the only valid metric?

I was just having a joke around, then had the thought about where we’d measure the line on using wider populations to call a card “low pop”…feel free to ignore my waffling.

I have some cards that fall in the Low Pop Because Garbage Pile! But I needed them for my PSA 1-10 collection that I forgot I was doing so never finished

Pop 1 on the Nidoran, Ivysaur, and Houndoom
Pop 10 on the Tentacruel and Pikachu

The Korean Houndoom I need for my binder but don’t have the heart to crack so I just took a picture and put it in its place and then Pikachu probably doesn’t count because it’s technically not graded but it still has only 10 in the registry so it counts in my heart, it was a Christmas gift from my MIL a few years ago

When I was looking these up I was shocked to see how many some of my other cards had over 14,000 psa 10 of one pikachu promo, insane to me hahaha

From Bulbapedia and the reason I bought the card way back:

This card was released in Japan as an unnumbered [XY-P Promotional card] as part of the POKÉMON with YOU Wagon program in Tohoku, where a big earthquake occurred on March 11, 2011. The earthquake, and tsunami that followed, took the life of many people. This Pikachu is a special promo which was given to children in this particularity heavy-hit region, from around mid-November, 2014.

Pop 1 CGC 9, none higher. Only one PSA9 + one BGS 9 exist

Goal is :

• Only japanese cards
• No signed cards
• Only PSA10, and 1st edition (if there is unlimited vs 1st)
• Rarest version, and first appearance of an illustration (if there is a rev foil vs holo i will collect rev foil and if it’s holo and non holo i will collect holo, might change this down the line to collect everything, but not the reprints)
• Paintings, sleeves, postcards are also collected, but everything that is no obtainable as a PSA10, for example the jumbo gyarados are not considered necessary to complete the collection
• At the same time completing a komiya binder with singles, because it helps me keep track of what cards i’m missing in a physical way, and is more practical to appreciate the illustrations. Binder filling has been actually the most enjoyable process i’ve experienced in this tcg experience. Buying sealed doesn’t procure any enjoyment. Buying slabs procure little. Caring and completing about your binder is really the most fun ! it’s also my way of learning about the history of the tcg, the different series and their orders in time, because it’s quite overwelming when you’re just starting out.
• The ultimate chase of this collection seems to be the coroco farfetch’d in 10 ? (finding the masaki machamp hasn’t been too hard).I hope i can meet it one day…also love the fact that my ultimate chase card in this hobby is a farfetch’d
