I’d like opinions from you guys on this, the price charts on the individual card pages I have zoomed in a little at the moment because I thought fully zoomed out can look a little messy. What do you guys think? Take this page for example pokemonprice.com/CardDetails/fc01ee04-bf9c-4a70-853a-6f9ce74d67fd … you can zoom out with the mouse wheel on PC or a pinch should work on tablets/mobile. Does fully zoomed out look messy or should I have the chart fully zoomed out by default? Note that this is only a years worth of data, 5 years from now I think I’d definitely have to have some amount of zoom on the chart.
No I’ve never used python, my primary coding languages are C# specifically the .NET stack, I can code in Objective-C & PHP but these days I’m using C# pretty much 100% of the time.
I scrape the data in C# via a Web API method that I call from a logic app on a schedule within Azure, it’s all automated so I don’t need to do anything but pay for the server now.
Coding is my full time job, I’m a consultant and contract myself out through my company. This sort of thing is something I do for fun in my spare time - my last ‘for fun’ project was an inventory system for my MTG collection that had tools to show me buylist gains and dips by percent for cards in my collection, along with price information and a bunch of other tools … just things that help me manage and sell my MTG inventory.
This is great! It’s really cool you’re able to dedicate your free time for the benefit of all us. I definitely appreciate this.
Amazing tool! The speed is a little slow(I am in Hong Kong). Looking forward to your new functions.
Pierce… first I used your Google Doc, them your Azure site… now this. You are amazing.
Thanks for the support guys ![]()
The sets page was loading pretty slowly, it’s because of the way I coded the last sale data, it’s not super efficient. I’ve made that table load via an ajax call for now so at least the page is loaded while you wait for the card list to appear, rather than sitting on the sets page wondering what’s going on after you click a set and nothing happens.
I’ll look at making the data load faster when I have some spare time, I’m not happy with the current ajax solution it’s still too slow.
Holy crap man, this site is amazing. Really great tool overall man.
Very nice.
One thing you may want to address is shipping cost. I found a PSA 8 Neo Rev Ho-Oh 7/64 that “sold” for ~$15.50 USD with a shipping cost of ~$18.92 USD.
I don’t have easy access to the shipping price but I’ll make a note of it and see if it can get it at some point, that sales an outlier when comparing to the rest of the data though … it’s not often you see silly shipping costs since eBay added FVF on shipping too.
Great work. I know it’s not a priority but being able to select the currency displayed would be amazing.
Just wanted to say thanks for making this Pierce! I consulted it quite a bit during the last PWCC auction and will use it again next time!
You need some caching bro
It takes like 10 seconds just to load the list of base set cards - should be closer to 0
Yeah I’m fixing that this week, it’s because of the last sold price data for all grades that loads. I use the site a lot myself and it really sucks waiting for the card list to load.
I did an update to the site today, here’s a quick summary of the changes:
- Images are now available for every card, I think there are less than 30 cards without images out of 10,000+ cards.
- Cards for each set will load quicker now and shouldn’t take 10+ seconds. (@hypernova ^^).
- Set and Card URLs have been slugged for better SEO and link readability so it’s not just a GUID - old URLs without the slug still work. Eg. pokemonprice.com/CardDetails/73864578-8b54-4422-a77f-96601c47a549/charizard-holo-1st-edition.
- Error pages shouldn’t render as text (hopefully nobody sees any of those anyway lol).
A quick note on the images, for the WOTC sets the image is the 1st edition image for all variants (unlimited, prerelease, errors etc). I will change this at some point because I want the images to be accurate because I am OCD like that, but it was the best I could do for now as it was tricky to automate the collection of 4gb of images and correctly assign them to 10,000+ card/variants. From what I’ve seen no pokemon site differentiates between card variants at the moment anyway.
Next update will be adding the population data @pkmnflyingmaster has so kindly given me
My data only goes back to March but pfms goes back about another 6 months, so that will make the population chart look a lot more interesting (most are just straight lines at the moment zzz).
After that I’ll start on the analytics and some of the feature requests I’ve gotten from you guys, there have been a bunch of good ones and I’m keen to get them implemented. As always if you’ve got any feedback, feature requests etc. feel free to post or PM me, cheers!
You the GOAT for making this website! Starting to use it more & more. I know you guys are all PSA hooked, but would it be possible at some point in the future you could also give prices for ungraded/RAW copies?
Seems nearly impossible to me, but I couldn’t imagine all this in one website either and you did, so thought it wouldn’t hurt to ask ![]()

Thanks mate
That’s a good idea, it shouldn’t be hard to display the TCGPlayer low, med and high prices for raw cards on the individual card pages, that would probably be the best way to see market prices on raw cards - I’ll add it to the todo list.
Great work ! very helpfull ![]()
Usually I don’t care, but I just have to be the grammar nazi here… 2x “You’re”.
Greetz,

Hey man, just noticed that with some hgss sets you will get an error whenever you click on the legends cards. For example, for the undaunted set, 088 is on there twice and will give you an error whenever you click it
