Currently, you are out of luck with getting badges that can be assigned the names of those who you want to attend with you. All Pokemon Worlds competitors have already assigned names to the 2 multi-day guest badges they received for qualifying, the multi-day passes have been sold out for a while now, and the single-day passes are sold out as well. Pokemon had said that any remaining single-day badges would be available for purchase to the general public, though that seems very unlikely. I believe your only possibility to get the badges you want now is to buy them from someone who will be picking theirs up in the few days before Worlds. However, these badges will already have the names printed of those who bought the badges. Additionally, how early you physically get your badge(s) will depend on when the original badge owner(s) registers to go to the Moscone Center, present their ID to the staff to verify names, and then give the badge(s) to you.
Hi im looking to buy a single day pass for my 2 kids and I. Is it still purchasable? Thank you
ty!
Hello all! I’m new here seeking advice. I planned to go to Worlds with my girlfriend and one other friend. I obtained a multi-day pass and registered my girlfriend as my additional pass. Now, my girlfriend can no longer travel and my extra friend was not able to get a pass. I know passes are non-refundable and that ID verification for badge pickup is required, but is it required for additional passes? My goal is to see if I can just give my friend her pass - even with her name printed on it - but if my girlfriends ID is required for pickup, I’m curious if I’ll even be able to pick it up.
If there are any suggestions or a different route I could take please let me know as well! Thank you ![]()
I would try to reach out to support and see what options you have. You still have time.
I reached out to change the name on it and they unfortunately said that it was non transferable or refundable ![]()
All badges require ID verification to pick up, even the youth badges. All badges are also non-transferable. Both of these policies are likely in place to prevent mass reselling of badges that could occur by creating multiple accounts to enter the badge interest lists. I’m unsure if there will be any other points after badge pick up where your badge name will be checked against your government ID. Unfortunately, the only way to attempt to get entry for your friend requires your girlfriend to pick up her badge, she gives it to your friend, and they can attempt to enter as her. You can also try to see if people will be sharing(for free or at a cost)/selling their own badges for the days you are both interested in attending. However, it all depends on how strict Pokemon is with ID verification. We’ll likely find out a few hours into the first day of Worlds.
Okay, sounds good, thank you very much for the information!
