Solid retrospective video on Pokemon Blue & Red. A bit detailed on the gameplay details, but great if you are into that sort of thing:
KingK’s Zelda videos are phenomenal. An interesting thing is that he is younger than a lot of us who grew up with red and blue and had to go back and play them giving a different perspective. Defenitely interesting to listen to, even if I don’t agree with all of his talking points.
I also think the game poses a bit more of a challenge than he insinutates if you do understand the stats and don’t grind for levels. A good example is watching a no glitch speedrun.
Overall great videos to watch while working out or chilling though, good idea sharing here Scott
gonna check out later. keeps comin up on my youtube too. another goodone is videogamedunkeys lets go pikachu eevee reviews. completwly different tone though so be warned haha.
I deeply enjoyed listening to this video! Thank you!
Watched this the other day and I enjoyed it. A bit tedious at times, but that might be because I played red/blue about 100 times each and know them better than my own hands. I’'m always amazed at how I can find new ways to enjoy the games even in my old age. Recently, I used some glitches in the game to get early access to some pokemon to give me a chance to play through with mon I otherwise would not be able to use. Still a blast and if you have pokemon stadium, then it’s another reason to play the game. Just never gets old!
Is it weird that I rather replay this game than X,Y or Sun & Moon???
My biggest issue with the original games and most of the earlier pokemon games is the programming. I cant tell you how many times I’d be battling a gym leader and they attack me with back to back Roars? Like come on lol
