How much is the Ruby & Sapphire one available for? I sold mine for $4k last fall, which was a great price back then but I’ve really regretted it since. Also would be curious what the asking price on Sandstorm is? Probably $4k range? Didn’t even know of the TRR box on auction…10.6k seems cheap, honestly. I would guess that it has the highest EV out of any EX set besides maybe Deoxys.
And your collection is nuts…all 16 boxes? Super impressive collection; did you pick these up when they were cheap or more recently? The price increases on these has been so obscene but I can’t imagine them going down at this point…just not enough them around.
I think the higher pack availability for some sets is because of tins/blisters. Like the 2003 EX Collector Tins (or it’s called something similar to that) each have 3 Ruby Sapphire packs. Weirdly enough, I’ve found Delta Species to be super tough to find boxes, packs, and blisters of. There was one in each of the Sinnoh starter tins, and some of the late EX-era multi-pack blisters have one Delta Species pack per…but I have basically never seen a single-pack blister of Delta Species. Whereas it’s super easy to find early EX-era single-pack blisters. Deoxys has just been a bitch to find in any form. There were a series of tins in 2005 that had a chance of containing Deoxys packs, and some multi-pack blisters have them, but they are just super low supply now. I don’t know if that’s because of a lower print run or because a higher portion of Deoxys packs have been opened in opens of hitting Rayquaza.
A seller on Insta is asking around 5k usd for both Ruby and sandstorm, i beleive that is where they trade these days, One Crystal Guardians, with a large dent on the back went for 6.2k usd at auction yesterday.
I was lucky and picked up most of mine back in 2012-2013, at an average price og 100 usd per box I would guess.
Regarding ex box rarity I would guess the following based on my experince:
“Where they trade these days” – wait, these are being traded or the cash asking price is $5k? And if they’re being traded, for what? And yeah, I saw the Crystal Guardians box sale. The ending price on that one wasn’t too surprising.
Short market update on ex sealed boxes, which is an indicator of print run and scarcity (solely based on my opinion and research):
Lower tier: (Ruby&Sapphire/Sandstorm/TMvsTA/Hidden Legends/FRLG/Power Keepers/Emerald). These sell in the 4kusd to 5kusd range. Quite available currently on both Ebay and Insta. I would say FRLG may be slightly higher, but supply is quite high these days.
Mid tier: (Unseen Forces/Legend Maker/Crystal Guardians). These sell in the 6kusd to 7kusd range. CG just sold for 6.2 kusd, but not mint box. One could argue that LM sells slightly lower, due to pricing of the Regis.
Upper tier: (Delta Species/Holon Phantoms/Dragon Frontiers/Dragon/TRR). Limited sales data. These sell in the 7kusd to 10+kusd range. One TRR currently at Ebay auction, highest bid now at 10.7kusd. Dragon private sale two weeks ago 10kusd. Delta and Holon I have not seen for a while.
God tier: (Deoxys): Again limited sales data available. I would guess at 15kusd now. Private swap 2 months ago for Jungle 1st, Fossil 1st and Team Rocket 1st, trade value at that point around 12kusd.

This is a great list but as you suggested the Legend Maker should be placed little lower, one sold by PWCC for $3250 ( not the best condition + some sticker on it ) and the following thread has mention of $4900 sale. www.elitefourum.com/t/price-check-legend-maker-unopened-booster-box/27299/1
$6000 to $7000 by the end of this year? I don’t see issue with that, Regis don’t have similar value like many other gold stars atm. but the rarity of unopened box bumps the price up a lot.
