@merciersj, I downloaded the free demo on the switch and I absolutely loved how the game is and the concept of it. However, I never played any of the old ones so I’m going to buy two of them to try them out.

Only minor differences apart from Red being GBA and blue being for the DS. Remember DX is a remake of Red + Blue

@danis04 I know the episode in question you’re talking about. It’s a pretty dark funny episode lol. And yes, I implore you to check our the original OG releases. It’s a pretty vast difference in the new one coming out but I’ll still buy it when it comes out next month.

Since I haven’t played any of these, is this at all similar to the mobile game I was seeing in the Android apps that was something about a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon? Or is that straight up mobile game trash?

I don’t know of any official Mystery Dungeon game on the mobile so it’s probably trash. I also recommend giving the trial a go, but honestly the trial is just a tiny taster, it doesn’t demonstrate any of the best parts of the game for me at least. The full game has so much content, challenge and replayability. This is all assuming that DX will be faithful to the originals which it seems like they will.

@gengarbrigade, haha yess! that is one of my favorite episodes! I definitely am going to buy the old ones but I think I might eventually buy the new one coming out too down the road after trying out the old ones first. I’m thinking of getting at least one of the old ones hopefully this weekend!

Nice! When I was playing the old one a few months ago; I got stuck in the part of the game where you face Articuno. With a Charmander and Pikachu, I got annihilated at least 20 plus times lol. Waiting for the new one and taking a stab at it again. Good luck!
