Apparently, it didn’t make a huge impression. 
These I actually mostly like. They remind me of the full arts from the XY era. Simple yet graphic background with an active pose for the creature. They l have a more unique identity.

I quite like the fullarts from SwSh into SV! Theyre simple and clean, yet the texturing gives them a bit of depth (at least for the JP lol)

She doesn’t really do anything in RBY besides give the player a map at the start of the game. I don’t even think she had a name until FRLG. Also she’s never been in the TCG before so it makes sense that you’d barely recognise her.
She’s super useful in FRLG/HGSS because she can groom your pokemon to make them happy and check your pokemon’s friendship level (I have no idea if she does this in GSC).
