Hello, one of my goals is to achieve every single pokemon blister pack (the single individual ones) all the way from base set to the present, that meaning 1 of each artwork from each set. I’ve just got some questions that i need answers to
1)Can anyone confirm if they have seen: Base set 2 blister packs, Gym Heroes/Challenge blister packs, I’ve done a quick search of the internet and have never seen them before
2)Correct me if I’m wrong but for the WOTC singular blister packs, did they only came in unlimited? (except for base set I think, which came in shadowless and 1st edition)
3)Lastly for any other blister pack collectors, what would/were the hardest to obtain, basically ones that never came up for sale.
as far as I know, base set 2, and the gym series didn’t have blisters.
and you’re correct about question #2
I can tell you for WOTC, the hardest to obtain will be 1st edition Base, Aquapolis, Legendary Collection, Skyridge, and a few of the Neos are scarce such as Discovery, Revelation and Destiny
Interesting, @acebren do you have a source on that, pretty sure gym series and base set 2 had long packs which were probably the substitute for the blisters.
you’re not going to find an official statement from WOTC that says they never released X set in blister form, so a source for something like this is not reasonable to expect
For your second question I would say it’s fairly certain there were no blisters for those sets… if there were you would have found evidence of them and they would probably also be listed up in ebay being as the packs/boxes for those sets aren’t exactly hard to get hold of.
I know this post is a couple months old now but I wanted to let you know in case you didn’t know that there is technically a blister pack for Gym Heroes, Gym Challenge and Base set 2 except they are from 3rd parties. They were sold for 3.99$ back in the day. I happen to have the Base set 2 Two booster pack blister (if you were wondering it says on the back that it was distributed by: Excell Marketing, L.C). I collect blister packs as well but its not my focus of my collection.

i have found 2 pack blisters consisting of one base set unlimited and one jungle unlimited pack. They were made by WOTC and have the official logos and Pokemon league information on the back. Also opened one that had a very noticeable crease down the center for the fun of it.
