Pokedeke

May I ask if anyone has done deals with the captioned fellow?

Looking for some references as I am interested in a purchase but it seems like FF payment is the preferred option.

Many thanks e4

I can’t comment on this persons credibility, although I would suggest even if they were extremely trusted, if their not willing to take PayPal Goods/Services don’t do it.

Any concern you may have and then pay PayPal Friends/Family will only end up on a thread here saying you’ve been scammed.

He buys a TON of pokerevs live opening packs, and also throws lots of money into the live chat there for what it’s worth.

Yeah the dude loves to gamble on some pokerev packs lmao. I’m guessing nick would put in a good word for him but why can’t it just be done via G/S?

I offered to cover G&S fees but the issue is that the purchase sum won’t be immediately available via G&S (on hold by PayPal).

It’s kind of a bummer because I would like to close the deal. Ah well…

I can’t believe how much money he spends on those box openings. I watched one where he spent like $1800 and only got 1 Holo. Must have some money or something…

With no current bulk rate it sure would be expensive to “Grade all the non holo’s too like he says” I love the openings and I feel like it’s bringing more people into the hobby which is also great but ya it seems crazy to me to open packs at these huge prices their worth. It would be different if you couldn’t find singles of the cards you want online. But still great to watch and I’m sure everyone gets a thrill that joins in. Like Aliens crazy pulls. Back on topic is he willing to send to you upfront and than you palpal friends and family after receiving. Or half upfront half after etc so less risk

I won a pack that he opened on one of his livestreams just the other day. Hoping to receive it in the mail soon:)

All true. I actually participated in 1 of his because it was my favorite set(gym challenge) and I thought it would be fun. I knew going in it was a complete waste of money. I ended up getting one of the best cards(1st edition mistys Golduck) and I only made my money back lol. Can’t imagine buying more than 1 pack because it’s highly likely it’ll be a loss for you.

He has a youtube channel that it looks like he just started so my guess is he views it almost like an investment in his channel…getting his name out there. Most likely he will need to grind it out until he gets partner then he will start making money after that on the ads. Looks like he spent some decent money on his setup.

I saw that pull! It’s should grade a solid 9 right? I’d imagine if so you’ll come out ahead.

I’ll break even, pack + grading =$200. Which is the going rate for the card in psa 9.

that’s the going rate atm. I doubt in the long term you will lose money ever. I just wonder if cards will drop in price once things open up or if they will stay stagnate because the supply will increase (also people won’t have the this increased money/lowered espenses).

Pokedeke definitely throws around a lot of money. It’s crazy to me that some people have actually given pokereve $400-600 dollars in super chats. I’m talking one person. I’ve seen several that have done $100-200 in the same opening. It’s just nuts. I actually purchase 1 first ed base set pack for his opening. I am treating it like throwing away $2500. I still can’t believe I did it.

Yeah that guy is something else. The amount of money he has constantly thrown away is unreal. But who knows maybe it nothing for him lol

Yeah I never understand the people that send money over super chat. Just throwing money away imho. Hope you get that Zard in that opening! I contemplated buying into that one just for the experience. I may try to trade him something to get into it.

I did send $20. Although I look at it as a strategy to get my name back out there. I’m looking at it as an investment. The more well known you are, then you have a better chance of having opportunities & collections come your way. It’ll also help because if people know what my goals are they can help. One guy is hoarding some valuable BW SRs and he said he’d make an exception for me since we shared collection goals and talked all the time years back. I remember when Leonhart was new and he would constantly send free cards to primetime pokemon. I actually graded Primtime pokemon’s cards from a base set box and 1st ed fossil box (I felt bad since he got 4-5 10s out of 24 cards). I feel that what I’m doing is more strategic than throwing $500 dollars at someone.

Thanks, I’m just focusing on being appreciative for the opportunity to get a 1st ed base set pack. I have zero expectations for hitting it big. If you were interested I would reach out to him soon.

Yeah, that’s true. I’m pretty sure thats why Deke is throwing all that money his way. I checked out his youtube channel and its a pretty nice setup he has and his video’s are pretty high quality. He should do well if he can push out more interesting videos instead of just opening sword and shield packs.

not trying to be mean to him, but that’s like someone buying a super car just to go get groceries. maybe he’s saving his better items for when he gets a bigger audience. That would be like him racing his supercar in a small town expecting to blow up your fame.
