Does anyone have an idea what this is/where it came from originally?

That’s the guide that can be found in the Japanese decks of the expansion pack (base set for us).
The decks are kinda mega boosters, with 30 energy cards, 28 random commons/uncommons, one rare, and one holo cards, all randomised.
They also contain this rulebook and a Chansey coin!
Thanks for the quick reply! I’d love to get one of those decks hahaa, but I’m sure they’re a bit tough to find now! I assume it doesn’t have much value, especially in the current shape it’s in?
The deck itself is not too hard to find though less common than a booster pack.
I think it goes for 700-800 lately, but I haven’t followed closely.
The rulebook you should be able to buy for something like ten bucks I’d say!
I opened up around 10 of these 4 or 5 years ago. Tossed the booklets, but kept all the Chansey coins. Still have them in the plastic. Have all the gym decks as well
Seeing a one-horned Charizard makes me uncomfortable
Does anyone know if there are any scans or translations available of this rulebook? The 1996 rules had some interesting particularities regarding when Pokémon were knocked out and how special conditions worked.
