Hello everyone! I have had a terrible idea overcome me and I’m looking for anyone in Japan or traveling to Japan who might be able to help me make it a reality. I recently found out about these ZA Mega Dimension donuts from Pikachu Sweets/Pokémon Cafe in Tokyo and I would love to try to get a set and preserve them if at all possible. I mainly want the Kyogre donut, but if I get one I shouldn’t pass up the other two as well. I believe these are going away March 1st, so if anyone is planning on being in the area between now and could pick some up for me I would be incredibly grateful. Of course I will cover full price + shipping + logistics. Pikachu Sweets by Pokémon Cafe|Pikachu Sweets Official Website
Man, could have done without knowing these were a thing! Love Hoenn and I love donuts, but alas won’t be in Japan til April. Good luck, I hope you can get some!
How are you going to preserve them?
Drying, resin, drying and resin, some other way, I’m not sure yet. The “if possible” applies both for obtaining them and preserving them ![]()
Wow I love the Rayquaza one. I’m not sure the resin idea would work out I think the donut might still decay in the resin, but I’ve seen people replicate Pokemon food items with fimo clay before so maybe that is an option?
That is definitely an option, I might go that route if I can’t get ahold of any real ones. I’d just feel a little weird about using a replica instead of the official thing, even if the official would be super impractical. I’m sure there’s some way to keep them looking alright, freeze-drying maybe.
Seems like baked goods have a habit of floating. Also takes a bit of trial and error
Also I found that a lot of people make donuts out of resin, so that’s a replica option
In my memory after scarfing down all three
I would love to know how this works out! I’ve been wondering about doing something similar with chocolate
These look so cool. I’d buy 2 sets to eat in one sitting, the sugar spike may actually lead me to the lord of the Sky Pillar. Really hope you are able to attempt this project!
