I guess I have to honour my word. So here by popular demand is my collection thread!
I’m going to take up the first page of this thread with placeholders for future updates. Whatever discussion this thread generates can start on page 2. I’ll bump for updates and add them to this page. For now I’ll add my 3 binder collections that I have on hand.
If you want to be added to the e4 signed collection, just let me know. If you have something to fill the binder holes you can let me know about that too.
Lopunny has been my favourite Pokemon for a while despite whatever assumptions people make from that. Rabbits are probably my favourite animal and I had one on my team when I played through gen 4 (it was actually a pretty competitively viable Pokemon back then).
I have tried to assemble a collection of every Lopunny variant released. (art, language, etc). There’s approximately 100 variants as of this post. It’s a slow progression and some of the languages are particularly hard to find. And regardless of what smpratte may believe, there are actually 8 Lopunny artworks and not 5.

I just wanted to focus in on a couple ones that may be of particular interest.
These three are Japanese promos. The first two are from the Trade Please events (2007 & 2008) where customers could trade one of their cards for a random promotional item at participating stores. The third promo here was given to customers who bought at least 5 packs of cards from the Pokemon Center in Japan during the promotion in 2016.
Here are my two PSA 10s! Left was won (super cheap, I guess there’s little demand??) on eBay and the right I graded myself. I plan on getting more eventually
Finally the grand finale… this is possibily the RAREST LOPUNNYSCHLAPOR EVER PRODUCED. The pattern on the reverse holo is missing. It was from a single small tournament in Germany where packs were given out and used to construct a deck. All the reverse holos had this error. As far as I know this is the only copy I am aware of (only copy in the world??).

This is my collection of people on e4 who have sent me a signature. Most have come from people that have sent me something or if I met them in person. I only request that they use a Pokemon or artwork that they really like or that represents them in some way. The rest is up to them.
I wanted a fun side project where I could take the time to hunt down cards and slowly build towards a goal. I’ve always liked Himeno’s artwork and since she has illustrated so many cards (over 550) from Jungle to today, it’s really neat to see how her style has changed from 1997 to today. Imgur album
Here’s the binder I keep them in (2 of them actually). This style of Ultrapro binder is really nice and I would recommend it.
The goal is to acquire the first release of every artwork (usually 1st ed Japanese). Sorted chronologically. I’ve added an image of the cards I’m missing. Cards I need to upgrade to Japanese are denoted with a red *. Cards I need to upgrade to 1st 3d are denoted with a blue *
