People only in it for the $$$

Grey sweats best sweats

And it’s not even remotely close.

The rest of my quote makes sense when I reply to someone asking if people exist that are actually only in the hobby for the money. Is my statement not spot on? Some sarcasm, yes, but its all true. Watch any videos from earlier this year of the people scalping the shelves at Walmart. All were bald men in grey sweat pants, haha

Yes, but I’m not saying high net worth people are wasting their money, I’m saying the people who want to become high net worth are.

you’re not wrong on that part most of the people that were scalping cards were those that wore just sweats, had shorts on and wore socks with slippers camping out all day. is it worth it for them yes and no. i’ve camped out for cards but I only did it for stupid crap not really caring. hear people bragging how they made a 21 cents profit was laughable.

Ah yes, the good old $100000-submission-returns-consisting-exclusively-of-unlimited Jungle-and-Hidden-fates-Eeveelutions type.

Depends on the market segment though. Move a few zeros up and the law-of-attraction-cosmopolitan-lumbersexual-8%-bodyfat-w/bored-ape-avatar phenotype becomes more common.

OK, sarcasm-tinged humor. Fair enough, and worthy of a chuckle. But it’s definitely not “all true.”

For instance, I know a couple of Wall Street investment bankers who spend their weekends buying and selling Pokemon product as though they were petroleum futures.

Then again, I’ve never set foot in their Manhattan penthouses. So for all I know, they really might be decked out in gray sweats!

I think a confounding factor is that all these people are also Walmart customers

We have digressed from an unpopular opinion about people only in it for the money to people wearing grey sweats buying Pokémon cards at a walmart… Nice.

Without passion, this hobby doesn’t exist.
