Pack Art Undervalued

Most of my box openings I always took my time opening the packs because of my love of the art.Any body else?

If you watch alot of youtubers they tend to attempt to save the pack arts so people definitely do feel the same way. I think they are more a personal thing as a momento of you yourself opening the pack more than anything really.

Definitely an important part of the opening experience to me as well. I also like to collect certain pack arts more than others.

I started to collect one of each of the sleeved boosters because those have even more pack art to love.

i cut my packs with scissors when opening, because if anybody wants to buy them they wont be able to use them in scams as resealed packs (i know nobody probably wants cut packs). I know TCG opens his packs with scissors as well, not sure if for the same reasons.

I love pack arts and I would start grading packs to display and appreciate them but I hate how PSA graded packs look. If they ever change the way they encapsulate packs then I would totally get into it

I struggle with this, too. I want to start collecting them but I also do not care for the way graded packs look, but also do not want to dump money into fancy custom display cases for packs.

I have some nice mint empty packs from Skyridge and Aquapolis. I think 3 or 4 pack art sets each. The issue with selling is if I put on eBay I have no control whether they are going to a pack art collector or to someone hoping to reseal and scam.

I see pack art as a way collectors will be able to display their collections artistically enhancing what ever piece they want to highlight with a border or a collage of some type. Example A Pokemon Lugia poster with a border of Neo Genesis pack art :sunglasses:

I have gotten a bigger appreciation for pack art in more recent years. Personally find blister packs are almost the best for display as they look better then the way psa is doing it.

Also for anyone worried about the pack art collectors vs the scammers why not add something to the back of the wrapper like a hole punch or write with sharpie so that it is a major deturent to reseal

of course especially for Japanese packs which are the hardest to not ruin imo

If you’re gonna sell them I’d be interested. I like collecting empty packs.

What’s the going rate? Also really don’t want to be a d**k but do you have any photos of your empty pack collection? Just want to be 100% sure not selling to someone who will reseal. I also have the boxes in OK shape I’d consider letting go.

PM’d you thanks.
