Overseas transaction Xoom or transferwise

I’m trying to do an overseas transaction and the other party is asking if we can use xoom or transferwise. Has anyone had experience with these and know if they are reliable?

I have used transferwise but only for moving funds from my own home accounts to bank accounts I had abroad. Worked brilliantly for that!
