I actually made a list one night of my favorite Pokemon (I went to Top 45). I would look at it once a month and update Pokemon that moved around in the list. I, however, have not updated it since October 17, 2015. I think my Top 10 would basically stay the same. I put a lot of thought into it as well back then. Here they are in order:
Top Tier Favorites:
- Mightyena Dark
- Reshiram Dragon/Fire
- Shedinja Bug/Ghost
- Noctowl Normal/Flying
- Houndoom Dark/Fire
- Xatu Psychic/Flying
- Psyduck Water
- Skarmory Steel/Flying
- Abra Psychic
- Umbreon Dark
Just for fun I also made a list of the Top 6 Pokemon I dislike the most:
Quillidin
Diancie
Mamoswine
Shaymin (Sky Form)
Darmanitan
Ambipom
I also listed 20 other in that list that I disliked but for some reason these took the cake.

I have quite alot! Hopefully starting a yt channel (started recording some vids…they are poor but idm he)

Heracross - reason: Heracross bro - the mega sucks but
Kingler - reason: i was impressed by it in the first league as a kid
Golduck - reason: golbuck
Alakazam - reason: yeahhhhhhh
Kingdra - reason: don’t know, i seem to like water pokes
Lugia - reason: elegantly bosslike
There’s probably others for similarly benign reasons

- Gengar - Weird, spooky, goofy, and chubby. Basically my spirit pokemon.
- Tyranitar - Bad ass dark/rock type dinosaur pokemon.
- Lugia - Has been a favorite since I watched Pokemon the movie 2000 when I was 10.
- Rayquaza - Looks cool and my favorite dragon type pokemon.
- Alakazam - Duel wielding spoon guy that can make you punch yourself in the face.

I used to have the “A Sappy Ending” episode, on DVD I think, when I was little. That and the other episodes on that DVD was the majority of what I watched seeing as I only had that single DVD. Heracross grew on me a bit, it is cool indeed.

Charizard - original beast
Pidgeot - always had one on my team ever since I first played Red
Vileplume - just looks awesome
Aerodactyl - Flying dinosaur. Nothing else to say!
Three exceptions to my dislike of ‘new’ (anything after red, blue yellow!) Pokemon:
Tyranitar - leveling up that larvitar on mt.silver or wherever it was on silver and gold, leveled him up for ages and eventually got this beast. Looks like Godzilla. Still haven’t got a card with him on…
Trevenant - Haunted tree, reminded me of the Ents from LOTR. Got a shiny one in X+Y.

Back when I used to play in tournaments I used to run him and I got a lot of success due to him, I’ve been loyal to him being my favorite since those days.
