Orannge's identification thread

Totally awesome, you are here on e4 too! I still love those Russian Bootlegs. Let me know, if you ever come across more interesting Starmie stuff. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

@sableguy, it’s totally interesting to see that those erasers had a tag on them. I did not come across a single figure that had the tag still intact. Also, posting the set lists is invaluable to other users for identifying those early merch items. If I am not mistaken, this could be one of the earliest Pokémon merch items that was released to the public after the games were released, or am I totally wrong here?

Regarding the sticker sheet, this is one of those moments where I thought this item would never be identified. And then seeing that you pinned it down to the actual stamp is totally unbelievable. I am very glad you do all this detective work and help me build a really well-documented Starmie database in the background. My dream is to release this database in the form of a website to the public, to share one of the biggest Starmie collections in a very well-researched and documented way. Your and the part of other members like @coil or @rainbow or anybody else who helped identifying play an indescribably important part in this and will be acknowledged. Meanwhile, I have to thank you very much for all the time you put into the research for all of my items. :heart_hands:

I will add the following data to the OP:

258p: ??-1998 – Bandai Pokemon Stamp (Butterfree)
266p: ??-1996 – Bandai Pokemon Gachapon Eraser Part 3 (Starmie without tag, Deep Red)
272p: ??-1996 – Bandai Pokemon Gachapon Eraser Part 3 (Starmie without tag, Green)

I now got the clear Starmie version and it’s (C) 2007. Would this go along with your theory, @rainbow?

Very excited to have one of those translucent figures.

2015 ポケモンおんぷカード

Not bootleg. These are used as music education tools to learn music theory concepts. Yours identifies the key of A major/F# minor, which is shown on the back as a plain music stave. This format can be seen on the back of the box as well.

I am calling once again for the masterminds @sableguy, @rainbow and all the other great e4 members helping me identify approx. 250 different Starmie items. This is mind blowing!

Over the last couple of months I added some of the stuff I bought or which was bought by a middleman to this thread and I really would appreciate your help to get some of the items identified and catalogued.

Thanks as always! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Hello! For anything coin related, I recommend Pokemon Coin Fan. They are a TCG coin enthusiast based in Japan! They’re on a journey to collect all coins and have countless very very rare coins.

Here is your item 316p! It was released on July 18 2025.

I highly recommend combing through the website to check if you’re missing any other coins!

Incredible, @rainbow, that you were able to find information on 304. I am always in awe you can find out such details on very niche items.

As for 306, you are totally right. I knew I had seen the design of the card before, but couldn’t place my finger on it, glad you found out.

310p is indeed the Metal Figure collection, I think I got the copper variant. Thx for pointing in the right direction and to this great e4 article.

I will therefor add the following to the OP:

296: Planète Pokémon — Poképédia

Planète Pokémon is a collection of magazine/DVD issues released in 51 installments by Éditions ATLAS from December 2007 to December 2009. To this day, it is the only official way to obtain the first three seasons on DVD.

The Collection

Each issue of the collection includes a magazine (containing a poster of the featured Pokémon and sometimes a Trainer alongside it—the poster in the first issue featured Pikachu and Ash) and a DVD (except issue no. 3, which includes 2 DVDs). The price of each issue is €8.99, of which €2.45 is for the magazine and €6.54 for the DVD. The only exceptions are the first two issues, which had special launch prices of €1.99 and €3.99 respectively.

Each DVD always contains 3 episodes that can either be watched consecutively or selected individually. The episodes include the opening theme, the episode itself, the Pokérap (or its equivalent from the second season onward), and the ending theme, sometimes without chapter divisions.

291:

https://wiki.pokemoncentral.it/Carte_lenticolari_Pokémon_Yoga

The Pokémon lenticular cards by Yoga, known as Pokémon Animate 3D Cards by Yoga and also informally called Pokémon Yoga 3D Mini Cards, are an Italian collection of Pokémon lenticular cards produced by Massalombarda S.p.A. between 1999 and 2000 under license from Nintendo.

The first series, from 1999, includes a total of 100 lenticular cards dedicated to first-generation Pokémon and characters from the animated series.

The second 2000 series includes a total of ??? lenticular cards dedicated to first-generation Pokémon.

The third 2000 series includes a total of ??? lenticular cards dedicated to second-generation Pokémon.

The three lenticular card series differ in their background colours and the corners of the cards.

At the bottom of that entry is an uploaded checklist presumably from the back of one of the boxes from the first release. There appears to be two cards featuring starmie, which I have highlighted.

You can also see your one in the video below.
