i’ve enjoyed seeing you here every now and then even during your hiatus as i feared you might be stepping out of collecting conpletely i also have to ask, how did it feel that both of your special pokemon got mega forms once you took a break

Thank you for your comment. I really like the two Megas, and I am very happy that both of my Pokémon got so much love. I like the humor they put into Starmie’s Mega form and don’t understand the hate it got. 
Nevertheless, I’m still organizing my collection, and I’m surprised by how many items I’ve bought in such a short time. Once my database is finished, I’ll create a separate collection website, replace all the photos I took from other sources with my own, submit more cards and stickers for grading, get some other items sealed with custom-made acrylic cases, and also buy a few items here and there. Currently, I treated myself to a Buyee shopping spree 
and will have the package shipped at the end of December. There are some really cool items in it that I’m really looking forward to.
Personally, I’ve gotten into sauna and ice bathing over the last couple of weeks, and it’s the most rewarding experience I didn’t realize I was missing out on all this time. It’s such a great way to spend time and calm down after stressful days at work.
Are there any other platforms like Buyee for merch from other countries?
I’m also thinking about creating a separate thread where users could post niche Starmie stuff they stumble upon, but I don’t want to bother anyone, so I’m still unsure if I should do so.
I still love the hobby and my collection, and I still love this absolutely gorgeous forum with all its brilliant people.

I believe there are these kinds of services for countries like south korea but i haven’t used them yet myself so i’m not very knowledgeable about them, someone else here for sure knows more and iirc for example citriina has some experience in that field also, i don’t get the mega starmie hate either, imo it was perhaps the best of the new megas and i really liked the creative shift from quite non-living form into very human like form, much more interesting than few added horns and some ugly belts!

Yesss, this would be awesome if you wanted to do it. I’m always conscious of other species that I know are collected by others and often save screenshots (which are incredibly difficult to dig through since they aren’t organized ) of items I find somewhat interesting/perhaps unique, if I don’t just directly pass along the listing to them (or if they’re listed at some ridiculous price). Would love to contribute to a thread like this

Just a small sing of life from me. 
Today a really clean looking copy of the Reverse Holo Starmie from the EX Delta Species expansion arrived. Hoping for a 9 here, even though the actual grade does not matter, because it’s just for my collection and won’t be sold anyways.

As I am still working on my huge database of all my collectibles via SeaTable, I had the great luck of getting help from @Maplesss to find a unique Reverse Holo Starmie card (with the small Greninja stamp in the bottom right corner). It is from the 2025 CSVH2 C Simplified Chinese release, titled: Happy Combo Lucario & Greninja & Zamazenta & Mabosstiff, S-Chinese.
The product features four decks, with a chance of one deck being Reverse Holo at 1.7 %. This makes it extremely hard to pull the Reverse Holo version of your favorite Pokémon. Nonetheless, Maplesss managed to find the card in no time and shipped it safely to Germany. It is now awaiting grading together with many other cards. I am eager to present the results later this year.

I think of it this way: If the Mega form is its final form and you had to design the regular version, you would definitely think of Stage 1 Starmie as a very reasonable choice.
