For the first obvious chase card tier of Nintendo, the ex’s sure do have a wide range from “grail” to “worse than Holo Rare”
Did mine based on appearance, of course rayquaza on top, deoxys at bottom, and everything else is my personal opinion.
The coldest part of hell is reserved for men who maintained neutrality in times of great moral crisis
Maintaining that the hoenn starters are the only starters with good ex cards is hardly neutral
But that might hurt
We got a fence-sitter here, boys!
There was a time I wanted to collect every ex card. Think I only fancy a handful of them now but the ones that are good are really good~
That took a while…
This time, the individual rows aren’t ordered. The tier list is also relative to each other for the most part, since even the S+ tier would be B for me if it was a tier list of all Pokémon TCG artworks.
I’ve never been a huge fan of these ex artworks (sorry Ethan), although they’re defintely filled with nostalgia, since it was the era I’ve been most active as a collecting kid. (I’ve ignored this nostalgia and only went for actual artwork for the tier list.)

I love how you’ve put Salamence in E to not counter your earlier post.

Funny observation, almost all of the cards you put in the top 2 tiers are from sets that are generally considered weaker ex sets. UF is iffy but I consider it lower tier since the chases lost their chase aspect
That is a funny coincidence! Wasn’t even thinking about individual sets when I was making my list (just going off art).
I remember Ninetales ex more than Hidden Legends. I actually forgot it’s even in that set because everything else is so mediocre-bad there.
My unpopular opinion is that Sandstorm has the best overall ex cards, even if some other sets have bigger standouts.
