Well Glenn has at least a set if I remember correctly. I believe he said he was working on a NM/M set but had a complete set in various conditions. I would have to check back on his posts back when these cards were discussed a while back. Or wait until he sees this and posts himself
How much do you think each card costs? Avg price for commons, uncommons, rares, and notable holos? I want to get any idea on how much I would have to spend for some of them.
I know @bagoly14 sold some cards for $7 each. I believe they were c/uc, or possibly just common. I sold my exc-nm Bulbasaur for $12 yesterday.
I’m kinda thinking the prices will settle around $10 for c/uc aside from the starters and Pikachu. $20? on the rares? $40 for normal holos, and $50+ for notables. This are kinda just random guess numbers though
Interesting. So I should air on the side of 20ish for Electrode? What would you say about Charizard and Blastoise? And I’m assuming this is all Mint we’re talking about?
Random numbers shouldn’t be thrown out in valuing these cards. The price is simply whatever someone’s willing to pay. Think of it this way, last year people were selling English PSA 10 1st edition Base Common/Uncommons cards for $100+. The only reason they dropped to around $20-$50 now is simply because supply caught up to demand.
This is a rare opportunity for whoever has a high grade because supply is low. What people end up selling for could be very interesting. Just my $.02.
There were some PSA 10 1st base commons that I sold for as high as $160+ 8D (the starters). I was more or less first to that market though, and BOY did people catch on. I can’t wait until the supply diminishes a bit and these at least get a tiny bit of recognition again haha.
Anyway, what random prices does everyone value a complete set of these no-rarity puppies for?
I’m hoping it just gets back to the $40+. Lately it’s been so down I stopped sending them in, just not worth it. No comment on the complete set, I will say that I’d think it should get a moderate boost from being complete.
Spencer makes a valid point. The 1st edition commons are a great example of pokemons fast passed supply & demand.
Right now the no symbol base cards are “up and coming”. Prices are going to be high and wide. Theses will take time to establish themselves and average out. As with most pokemon cards, it is difficult to put an exact value on them.
If each common is 10 dollars, rares are 20, holos 40 and starters 100, a full set would be about 4,000. cuz is a fule set doesnt matter if mint but mine only hes som sacrtches so GEMMINT set. 4000 obo but not accept less than 3950 dont low ball.
I think that the first complete set that pops up for sale will go around or above $3k because it’d be the only complete set out there aside from Glenn’s. However, after this, I think they will average closer to $2k because of the individual card values plus it is very hard to gather a complete set. Maybe, way in the future, they will drop closer to $1k, but I only see this happening if there is a massive increase in the supply of the cards which would cause more sets to be built.
Well, I for one am hoping there is a massive increase sometime in the future! I would like to get my card without too much trouble. Then once you have all collected what you need, the supply can fall right back down
