Today I purchased a bulk lot of Pokemon cards from a guy who owned a shop back in 2000. With it came a bunch of other random stuff which I don’t know a lot about however I feel may have some value! Can anyone give me any info or tips on these below items and if anyone can give any idea of market value that would be great? I cannot find much/any of this stuff sold on eBay.
Pokemon Pinball Pikachu Shop Sticker - Close up, fairly good condition seal looks like its still fine!
Pikachu Pokemon Yellow shop window sticker - The seal is going near the ends but still a cool looking item
Pokemon Holographic Tazos Sealed
Digimon Cards, the three at the bottom are holos. Some 1st edition cards (1999 Bandai)
This last one I’m not looking for a valuation, its a photo of a value guide I got in the lot from 2000. I thought I would take a picture to show the valuation of some base cards back then! Super interesting
I may add stuff to this thread if I find anything else I am unsure about but these were the ones that stood out!
There’s nothing that stands out to me about the Digimon cards. When it comes to Digimon cards, the earlier series cards are still extremely easy to find, while later sets (I’m looking at you series 6 Digi-Battle cards) are almost a myth. The first starter deck is everywhere. Anything past the first starter deck is much harder to find. There are two animated series sets, which series 1 being much more abundant than series 2.
The Saberleomon and Herculeskabuterimon are both foils from the first starter decks. Last time I checked prices for sealed starter decks was a few months ago and they were still going for about $15-$25.
The foil Angemon comes from the Animated Series 1 set where each booster pack comes with one of the base cards as a foil parallel. Animated series 1 also comes in two variants, the “exclusive preview” version that has an additional stamp on the front, and the regular version, which seems to be the one in your picture. Technically there’s a gold numbered version as well, but those are really rare, having to open up multiple boxes to find just one. The other animated series cards you have also are series 1, which it’s still easy to find lots of sealed booster packs for a few dollars per pack.
The Digi-Battle cards you have are a mix of starter deck cards, with a few set cards thrown in. You can tell the difference by looking at set number on the front. Anything that starts as an “ST” is from the starter deck. Anything with a “B0” is a set card. The only exception I know is that there are a few foil parallel versions of starter cards that you can pull from booster boxes. They will still show “ST” to begin with, but there will be an additional “S” after the set number. ex: St-30S.
I also got these two miscut black star promo computer errors in the lot which look pretty cool Does being MC add much value to them? I know that there is a market for MC and some people collect them specifically.
@fireftw87, I wouldnt know a value off hand myself for anything here, but man I loved pokemon pinball. One of my favorite gameboy games growing up and I wish they would make a new one today for the switch or something.
Those would probably get OC, not MC. I submitted a fossil articuno that was pretty much just like that and it got 9(OC). Ungraded I wouldnt imagine they’d demand much of a premium, but if they were actually graded with the OC qualifier then they’d get a premium from somebody for sure!
