Hi everyone I’m new to the group but have question for all , I have a 2016 P.M. JPN MARIO PIKACHU FULL ART SPECIAL BOX #294 in new condition or been told PSA 10 quality, I’m new to this so my question is, is this a card to hold on too or if Decided to sell could trade or buy another later on if wanted ?
unfortunately unless it was psa that told you it was psa 10 quality it is raw until proven otherwise
First line of business is to determine if it’s authentic. There are thousands of fakes floating around that look quite good. If you didn’t pay an arm or a leg for it in its current condition (i.e., thousands of dollars), you might have bought a fake.
Also I inherited it from a family member who recently passed away Im brand new to all this trading card thing and pokemon thing I’m a sports card type but Im learning here n there from ppl that reply to my posts so I thank you all who reply
It is in a PSA slab that has # and says GEM MT 10
Post a picture of it, that will resolve all doubts!
This is very fake and unfortunately worthless. My apologies.
Sorry g this is fake
Lot goin on here tbh kinda mesmerizing
I honestly don’t know anything about these cards or what to look for and I didnt buy it it was given to me by a family member who recently passed so its not worth getting it looked at? Because the cert number pops up in the PSA CERT lookup ?
Sorry to hear about the passing, but yes, this is certainly a fake, an a very poorly done one. The label is also a fake label.
Monetarily speaking its not worth anything.
Ok thanks for your input and opinion
I noticed that the card turned over so we could see the back, but the label did not -
Peace and love did you print this out after being asked for a picture?
Um… clearly that card has been cracked out of a case?
From the look of it, it seems like it was probably a fake card in a fake slab. And now it has been cracked out of the fake slab, so what remains is the fake card. ![]()
The font on the slab tag is wrong, the back is wrong, there’s no holo on the front.
Sorry, but it’s fake.
Hi Tommy, Some reacted strongly, and subjectively, as there are some odd things about your post. However, I like to assume innocent things, possibly at my own expense, so…
To be objective, and totally factual, not opinionated:
It can be guaranteed that this card is fake, because the proportions of the border are measurably WAY off. I do mean, “WAY”. The border takes up more than the normal portion of the card. (The card is too big, or the features are too small.) Additionally, the card is off-centered and for a PSA 10, about 20-30% off-center, They should be even on complimentary sides to qualify for PSA 10.
With just 1 feature necessarily wrong, that’s all that is needed to be positive this is not a legitimate card. There are multiple incorrect features. I’m sorry to have to tell you.
Considering they’re saying it was bequeathed to them, and considering it’s intentionally been cropped to dimensions to give the illusion it’s slabbed, I think it’s pretty safe to say they’re not so innocent with their post.
It’s not like a family member of theirs is trying to scam them. No family member is sending them this image and claiming it’s slabbed. If it were a local vendor or something then it would at least be believable.
