Btw @sherbixtus , why is the title of this thread “Full Academy Art Pika Set”. This is the full American + European + Oceanic (English, German, French, Spanish) set, not the full Pikachu set… The thread title suggests all 12 AA Pikachu cards are put up for sale as a set.

There are a few others like that as well (full set with mixed grade chase cards), as well as mixed grade sets being advertised by their “average grade”. I wouldn’t be surprised to see it become more common as matched-grade complete sets become less obtainable over time. Average grade/weighted average grade is more of a common thing for older sports cards.
I never thought about it that way, but that totally makes sense. I still think its weird having graded and ungraded cards in a lot, but that might just be me. Why not just have the graded cards be a lot and the ungraded cards be in their own lot? I assume in the next 5+ years, we will seen a shift to the lower grades and 9/8 being the highest attainable grades for older cards and like you said, this might become more common.

$348500 before premium from the 35 Charity box break auctions. Quite a bit of variance, from $7,5K to $15K.
Packs were bargain of auction I think… most all the sets I thought I was gonna get on the cheap went high. Those art academy… damn

Does anyone know what happened to the Tropical Mega Battle trophy? I saw it was at $7.5k and it said PASS, which I’m guessing it didn’t hit its reserve. Will this come around again?

It was strange… someone on IG showed their bid history and they had the highest closing bid, it mentioned nothing of a reserve as you could clearly see on the TMB yet for some reason it slotted it in their lost bids section.
