Yeah I mean maybe. But then the seller can be forced to give a refund. Unless their goal is to claim the buyer didn’t send back the real thing.
If it were my collection, I wouldn’t resubmit them. At best, it will give you some pretty 10s to show off. At worst, they damage some of your cards on encapsulation.
Honestly, I’d crack and resubmit before sending in for a new label. In the off chance they bump it to pristine. Low chance it would downgrade.

I’d sell and rebuy one with a new label for cheaper if possible. I’m not sure if there’s still going to be a premium for cards with subs though.

I’m not worried about them damaging the cards – I’ve subbed them well over >1000 cards at this point and they haven’t damaged a single card (it’s pretty impressive, actually).

Fair enough. I wouldn’t care enough about a label change to send my entire collection in, but it’ll be nice to have consistency when you add new cards to your collection.

Told that zard seller about removing Tcg from the title so it gets flagged by the authentication bot. They replied “thank you!” But it’s been hours and they haven’t corrected it. So…yeah lol.

I can’t comprehend going to all of this effort to rebrand your label and company in general just to release something so horribly formatted. Not one person at the company noticed the inconsistent font size or the inconsistent spacing between the top and bottom edges of the label?
You’d really think they’d do everything they could to get it right on the first try if they want the label to be such a big part of the rebranding.

The inconsistency is really disheartening. I want to like CGC but when you completely redo your label you REALLY shouldn’t have issues like this.

Yeah, it’s ridiculous. I’m probably going to hold off on reholdering my sets until they fix this. It’s such an obvious issue, too. I and others noticed it after looking at only a few cards with the new label lol.

I just asked CGC about this card and they said it was before they made the decision to move the error designation to the front of the card. So this doesn’t reflect what any new error submissions would look like (doesn’t address the misaligned label on the right though). My guess is that the left-hand centering was changed when they moved the error designation to the front.

I feel like in Pokemon most people don’t value sub-grades as much as the overall grade. Of course it seems to be different in MTG. I noticed in MTG that if someone had a BGS 9.5++ whatever sub-grades it would sometimes sell for as much or even more than a PSA 10. So almost the opposite of Pokemon. I feel in Pokemon, the market psychology is all about seeing the 10 on the label as the final score regardless of the sub-grades. So I think unless you feel you want to sell them, might be just as well off to leave them as is and if you can personally live without seeing Gem Mint 10 as opposed to 9.5 and the older label.
With all this said, I think the Umbreon would look sweet with the new label
