New CGC prices released

Going to miss the two week standard but that express rate is pretty solid.

Just making it easier so there doesnt have to be multiple posts

I’ll use CGC again at some point for error cards. They will look nice in those slabs.

That being said, I’ll also wait a year for their label, grading scale, and pricing to change again. :smiling_face_with_tear:

Where is cgc located for walkthrough grading?

Walkthrough doesn’t actually mean walk in and walk out with the slab, since it is a 3 day turnaround.
I could be 100% wrong too

But to answer your question, they are located in Florida.

I don’t think PSA need to respond to it imo

Pricing is very solid but their return postage costs seem very prohibitive for small subs in the UK at least

Yes, 80$ return for 10 card reholder was a no go for me

I could be wrong but isn’t it like $20 minimum from PSA and BGS as well?

Walkthrough is just a grading tier. They don’t have a physical location you can go to other than special events that you can do grading in person.

Oh that’s a bummer lol. Neither does PSA right? Only bgs?

Yeah just BGS. You drop it off and come back hours later. Basically the same as how all of them do on site grading at conventions.

Yeah I wish PSA had that. I went to nationals last year but the line was like 3-4 hours long

I have like 10 holo bleeds I was about to ship off for error slabs and then I realized they don’t recognize holo bleed as an error :upside_down_face:.

Well… crap. Mine was very obvious that the ink layer was thin, I put a sticky note that said insufficient white ink (Holo bleed) on the back to help the grader look for the error, it seems obvious to me. It isn’t just a small bit of bleed, it’s the whole face of the card. I couldn’t get the Holo bleed to show through in direct light. It was much more visible in lower light for some reason. We’ll see what happens, it wasn’t a high value card. I figured if they gave it the error designation then it’s good to preserve it.

The fact that CGC even has so many of these rare high end vintage cards in their slabs after just a few years is honestly pretty impressive.

Really need to see all this sort of stuff selling semi regularly from now on to see what’s what.

Nice to know that prices. I have about half a dozen or so old cert 9.5s for MTG & Pokemon I might make into 10s at some point, although I wonder if it’s worth it if I have no intentions to re-sell them

BGS is really shooting themselves in the foot by not re-allowing minimum 10 crossover grades imo. You would probably have a lot more people trying to crossover CGC Pristines or PSA 10s if they still allowed them.

Also I have a feeling there is going to be some serious shill bidding on this card lol

Why shill bidding?
