Looks great! Really like how the Among us looks with the stamp!
The great encounters kingler finished the page and then i left in the start of the other page since they came at the same time. Got the non tcg stuff from a kind collector friend, but the crab pages are looking good!
I took a small pause buying cards in my side collections due to my big slime purchases but i did now fill the last empty spots in my current side collections that i was planning to finish during -24. There ended up being quite a few pages do i’m separating them a bit, in this post some sweet artist binder pages. First i’ll share my favourites of the batch, Match followed by Yukiko Baba and Miki Tanaka
Then some other great ones, Sumiyoshi Kizuki, Hisao Nakamura, Miki Kudo, Hasuno, Tetsu Kayama and since the new releases of Sowsow completed another binder page i’ll share that one too!
That should be it for my artist binder until some of the newly introduced artists start to get into artwork amounts that fill a page, last batch of 15 cards i bought from new artists like Osare, Jerky and Ounishi was around 2€ shipped so can’t not love when they get new cards
That looks fantastic!
To continue my previois post i’ll add few more completed pages of my side collections, this time the last empty spots from my type pages with water, lighting, fighting, steel and poison finished
Also i’m adding my bug type and normal type pages that i re-completed by changing a card in each page. Even though this binder is now full it will probably never be completely finished since i’ll be checking all the new releases and if i see something i really like i may update some cards. As i recently went through all the english set cards released i already have few cards i want to add and remove some others.
I like the open idea of changing things, arranging by type. I have struggled with how to arrange my 4’11 binder. Each time a new card comes out that I really like I am not certain where to put it . The first part of the binder is special arts of each 4’11 species (or favorites). after that it is just chaos. I may try the type approach.
Sounds like a good idea, even though i love the idea of rearranging my cards i’ve built my collections in a way that i avoid shifting or do it as little as possible, it’s just so time consuming and i don’t want any issues damaging my cards. I’ve also thought of arranging another small collection by type instead of chronological order, the colour unity looks so great
I completed the Japanese holo cards based on the related European non-holo cards.
Steelix on the other hand has the expansion symbol, but in Europe we have not received the relative non-holo version. It looked good on the page, though.
Simply lovely binders pages. Really ice selection of cards. If I understood it correctly, these are your favorite artworks of the type pages that you have yes? Each page dedicated to a single type?
Some great pickups! I hope there is another lazy/ sleeping type normal Pokemon art to complete the middle line of the normal binder page.
Cheers!
I have one page dedicated to each type but i’ve mostly gathered the cards there from cards i already have in my bulk binders or similar ones, i’ve spiced up each page with at least one more special card in the middle but other than that i’ve just chosen cards i like ane arranged the pages in a way i like, and if i really like some other cards i’ve occasionally bought singles i want to include here and replaced some cards with the new ones snorlax is actually the first to go in that normal type page if a new card gets released i like more, so lazy trio probably will never happen
This is the last batch of my end of year binder page completing rush, in the same binder than the type pages are some of my favourite pokemon and pages dedicated to them and all except one are now finished. This time not a single page i’m showing is about a single pokemon but some duos or groups instead.
I’m starting with the one i’m most excited about, during last year or so i’ve been more and more falling in love with the design of xerneas and especially yveltal so i wanted to build a spread of all unique artworks of them, it’s a shame photo captures basically zero of it but all of the left page is different kinds of japanese reverse holos and the right page is english holos. The artworks itself are gorgeous but the looks of the holo patterns takes the in hand feeling to next level and makes this one of my favourite spreads in my collection. The yveltal full art is also my clear favourite full art and a prime example why the full arts are still best cards to showcase the pokemon itself without anything extra, the combination of black, red and gold combined with the ominous pose is pure perfection.
Also a spread i like a lot, a collage of my favourite fossil pokemon and even overall some of my top favourite pokemon like aerodactyl, kabutops and aurorus, and it’s still a shame how few cards amaura and tyrunt lines have gotten
And few single pages after the spreads, regis are also something that have started to grow on me a lot during this last year and being able to make a page of them with that cracked ice ex middle row did make a beautiful entity. After that a page of my wife’s two favourite pokemon, bulbasaur and larvitar, and to wrap it up a re-completed page of metagross line
Nice pages! I’m also a fan of mixing 2-3 pokemon per page to get a nice contrast in art/colors.
For yveltal, the movie promo is so good with the cracked ice holo and cheap!
I have to say regarding artwork the movie promo probably is my least favourite of yveltal cards presented here but the holo pattern indeed makes up for it!
It’s a great design, much easier to illustrate it than Lugia imo. Hoping for some good illustrations next year for plza.
Very nice! don’t forget the xy yveltal alt art!
I’ve bought that one too but it takes some time until i have it in hand, but i’ve planned it as a centerpiece for another page
