It is not a drastic redesign, but it defintely has some appeal. I’m curious how it will peform with the stat buffs, as the type combination fighting / flying is still rarely seen.

its not awful. yay! Could have gone further, but I won’t wish on the monkey’s paw.
So just give me its base stats, type and ability. Unburden is already busted, so it would have to be a serious upgrade since unburden isn’t going to work with a mega stone. Maybe an ability that boosts the damage of all “pressing” and “slamming” moves unique to mega hawlucha would be in line with it, and boost its signature move flying press! That would be nice. Reading into this a bit, but I could see them giving it no guard because he is fighting machamp in the trailer and a bunch of super inaccurate moves like dynamic punch…a combo that got machamp into some trouble with competitive fan formats.

I think its kinda the same design. Very little makes it a mega. At least go harder on the costume flair, more than an upgraded mask and shoulder piece. It could have had a slightly different belt design than machamp, maybe crossbody like a sash. Maybe make its “cape” have way more tassel like designs, give it designs that look like the masks of its defeated foes.
A slightly buffer but still same design wearing a headpiece doesnt seem very mega to me. Dont get me wrong, it looks good but it doesnt give out-of-control amazing power form vibes. Just normal evolution vibes.
