Truly, I hope so. I also believe it will. Just can’t say for certain. And if it doesn’t, I still love and am happy with my collection! Of course, I want my collection to go up in value just as much as everyone on here. We’re all on the same team
Rudy has a whole video about people thinking just buying sealed product and sitting on it for 8-12 months will make it worth more. All aboard the one way ride to hosetown!
I couldn’t disagree more Andrew. In April of 1999 you couldn’t even find a 1st Ed pack or holo anywhere. One guy at Frank&sons had two packs in his case that, “Were for viewing only” lol. We traveled everywhere between Renton to Puente Hills searching.
Even the heavier printed unlimited set dried up for 3 years.
Edit: sorry. I see somebody already pointed this out and you didn’t mean 1st edition.
I’m not on that team. Anybody like me, who buys more than they sell and always will, are getting killed by this giant upturn. I want the prices to drop on every item in my collection, even sports, other non sport, and everything else I actively collect.
I collect for the love of the item. The value is meaningless unless it shoots so high I can’t afford it. Already a few months ago I bid 55,000.00 on a single Pokemon card, AND LOST!!! I was sick.
So please, play down any significance in the hobby that could ignite a decrease.
Always remember, valuation only matters if realized;)
This. Collect for the love of the hobby/card or whatever . If a card you own goes up in value that’s a nice bonus, but the real bonus is finding that last card you need to complete a set or getting a 10 on one of your own cards that’s my view any ways
Just thought i would add that in many jobs in the UK which get paid on a monthly cycle at the end of each month you actually get paid earlier in december to deal with xmas and as a result you dont then get paid until your usual pay date in january which sometimes is up to 6 weeks after the December pay date so people are always a bit low om the dollar in late december/january.
