Hi all,
As a long-term goal, I’ve started on a grandmaster set of every single Mareep in every language. I’m working on a spreadsheet with all the Mareeps on it so I know what I need, but I haven’t found much information for languages other than English, Japanese, and Chinese. I’m wondering if anyone who has cards in languages other than these could tell me about other language cards? All help is appreciated. Thanks! I have also made a thread on Pokebeach if you want to see the information that community has given me.
I generally recommend the following steps to put together a list of all cards in all variations of a specific Pokémon:
- Go to the Bulbapedia [Name of Pokémon] (TCG) article to get a list of all cards of a Pokémon
- Go to the article of each card to see if there are additional promo or deck releases
- Look at the article of the respective expansions / decks / products to figure out which languages they were available in (and if first edition / unlimited and reverses exist)
- On the card articles now aditionally go to tools and use “what links here” to see the Korean/Thai/Indonesian/T-Chinese/S-Chinese exclusive sets and decks the card might be in (their articles are the ones with (ATCG), (KTCG) etc. at the end)
- For recent Simplified Chinese sets which Bulbapedia might have not covered yet, use the setlists on the Pokipair website instead.
- For EX era serial code variants check against this spreadsheet for international and this spreadsheet for Japanese / Korean cards.
- Do further research for example on Pokumon
- For cameos have a look here and then repeat the other steps for those cards as well.
This topic has some additional information as well, like marketplaces to buy from. Welcome to Efour by the way, would love to see your collection progress here!
Welcome to E4!
A good place to start (which primarily mentions all the English/Japanese cards) is the Mareep TCG page on Bulbapedia: Mareep (TCG) - Bulbapedia, the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia That’s what I always use as a base, which also holds ~99% of all English/Japanese releases.
Then you can use this thread: Sets and Languages: Compilation overview list to see in which languages those sets Mareep came in were released, and potential set variants of those sets.
(It’s a bit behind for sets from the SwS/SV eras, but I plan on updating that thread eventually.)
I also used to create lists for species collectors years ago, and unfortunately (since I was only collecting a few years myself at the time) most lists from pre-2020 may contain some errors. Nonetheless, here is a Mareep list I did back in June 2018 to help you get started perhaps.
I also explained all the steps I use in creating these lists, which you could try to follow to create your own list:
Hope that helps. Best of luck creating your list, and collecting your Mareep. ![]()
And if you have any follow-up questions, feel free to ask.

Update 20/2/26
I’ve decided that all languages is too much for now, so I’ll start with English and have other languages as “side quests”.
In terms of Mareeps, I’ve collected three in English and one in Japanese. I will continue updating you as I gain more to update you with.
Small selection for artist available, but they have some nice cards. Gengar, Swinub, and Doduo in particular.
Looking forward to seeing it put together! I love Mareep as well ^-^
Update 21/2/26
I’ve finished the spreadsheet for English (pdf below). Thanks for the information; I will be adding other language cards as I go along. If there are any I’ve missed, I’d love to hear about them. I forgot to put cameo cards in below, but I will add them in the next version.

You seem to have forgotten the reverse holos for EX Dragon and EX Team Rocket Returns. And the set stamp for Unseen Forces is also just the reverse holo, that’s how they were done back then. Also the Indomaret stamp Evolving Skies card is Indonesian, not English.
Thanks for correcting me on the Unseen Forces entry; I’ve changed that. The EX Dragon and TRR cards each have four different codes on them, three for normal cards, and one for reverse holos. I did include those, but I’ve added a note so that I remember. The Indomaret stamp has a checkbox only in the Indonesian column, which is hidden.
Thanks again!
