For people trying to figure out a way their cards can somehow be real, I know this sucks, even for people who donāt own a prototype card, however, as it stands, assume everything is fake until proven otherwise. So far we have a handful of certified cards, and thousands at this point that are most likely fake. The remaining āinconclusiveā cards are not proven to be real, and should only be assumed real if they are proven.

It would reeally suck if cgc started destroying cards (or their insurer) and they ended up destroying real ones. I wonder what the process will be for the cards after CGC accepts them.

It would have just been a piece of paper printed by a scammer. The likely scenario is CGC will refund Z&G for every slab he can return to CGC. James was proactive with the refunds and people owe it to him to send them back if this is the case
Edit: just learned the card must be returned first then Z&G will refund and handle it from there. Still a class act

I donāt know how many people it applies to, but my two cards were from the Rare Candy auctions. I have reached out and have not heard back, even with a generic response. So, they seem the least receptive and are ignoring the issue entirely at this point. I donāt believe that they are responsible, but I feel that it is a good practice to clarify what has occurred and that buyers should contact CGC.

I assume ZandG wont refund if you dont plan to return the card 
Hopefully @jcincy101 will be able to return the cards to cgc for the full value of the sale.
If CGC is not offering the full value of sale, a Class action lawsuit seems quite possible.

Which is what rhey should say. They didnt knowingly or willfully auction forgeries and removed them immediately when told they were. Its between the certifier and the owner.

They certainly have an opportunity to do right by their customers considering they advertised and pumped up these prototypes, but yes, according to their ToS they arenāt liable. As we see with Z&G, it is a choice. They made a choice.

I fully understand how badly everyone wants a resolution (and deserve one quickly), but itās been less than 3 days and expensive lawyers are involved. I donāt imagine if this happened at bgs or PSA or any place else, they would have a fully vetted statement and refunds available in 24 hours. Things take time when fraud is involved.
