Looking for a 1999 Base Set Charizard 1st Ed. PSA 9 – offer

Something like that.

Yes, I believe based on the public’s reaction to auction prices setting the trend recently, the PSA 9 will probably go over $2500+ on a regular basis. There is still a very limited supply of the PSA 9 and collectors will probably pay the premium to secure the card anticipating the value going up. I have not seen the price go down in the last year or so. It’s been steadily climbing, and spiking a bit recently. Like several people had alluded to earlier, there have been multiple sales of direct buys at $2500 or more already, so I believe the market is willing to accept an increased premium. Besides, the PSA 10 standard at around $18k helps the PSA 9 immensely, at least from a psychological point. I mean a decent 9 looks like a potential 10 candidate many times. But it’s only 1/5 of the price! Put me down for an order (once I have more money)! That’s just me though.

Scored two in the last month for $1850 a piece  granted that wa s when the one at 2200 BIN was sitting on ebay for like a month with no bites. But yeah they have gone up and its honestly crazy to see how last month that one for 2200 was sitting there and then now PWCC sells one for 3k…honestly i wont go off of PWCC prices. No matter what they are going to get top dollar for there products it’s inevitable so if anyone is planning on selling there’s then there is a slim to none chance that you would be getting that same price

The thing i notice is that ppl who collect pokemon cards almost NEVER do buy it nows…even if its cheaper than a recent auction…makes me want to put the cards I’m selling up at auction cause it pisses me off that i have the lowest BIN and no bites lol

I saw one go for 3k flat a few weeks ago BIN price. People are willing to pay premiums especially if there’s none other on the market ATM and they want the card

I personally prefer BINs, because it means I’ll ‘win’ the card instantly without having to wait a couple of days and have a chance of being outbid.

Then again, sometimes people just like to have a bidding war, or are caught up in it trying to win, which might cause the ending offer to end up even higher than the cheapest BIN available. I’ve lost a card a couple of times, and then just bought the cheaper BIN (although usually when I lose, only a slightly higher BIN is available, which I then buy instead).

It’s especially funny when you see a concluding bidding war which is still about an hour left, where the price is already higher than the lowest BIN. XD

There is a PSA 9 spectrum. The truth is, some 9s are worth 1850.00 and some are worth 3000.00.

I have two 9s that illustrate the difference:

One has slight chipping on the back top center (thanks to someone using binders) and 3 lightly dinged corners. It also has a pack scratch. It does barely deserve a 9 minus.
The second is absolutely flawless except for a very slight centering problem…just a touch outside the allowable 60-40. It could have been a 10:(

So, would I sell the first one for 2500.00? Sure.
Would I sell the second one for 3000.00? Not a chance.

A second example is xusu wanted to trade 1st Ed shadowless machamps (cause of a border color) but my thin one was below a PSA 10 standard so I couldn’t even do the trade. So mine was worth maybe 200.00 and his was worth 600.00…though they were both PSA 10s.

There’s a lot that goes into this game and you’ll be much better off if you pay very close attention to all the great info on this awesome collectors website. I know I’ve learned a lot:)

Oh I absolutely agree with you 100%! It’s just sometimes you find those ones that are really good and the ppl that are selling them don’t know that and they think a 9 is a 9. But hey it eventually comes up every so often just takes a lot of patience! But I’d love to see the 9s keep going up in price considering I have a few lol

I’m pulling for you Chris:)

OP if you’re still looking i’d be willing to let mine go for $2900 :relieved:

That link is sorted by lowest first.

A better link would have been:
