Pokémon Trading Card Game Challenge: Build Your Card!
Mar 31, 2026
Are you ready to make Pokémon history? Join us in a one-of-a-kind collaboration with Pokémon and unleash your creativity!
We’re inviting builders from around the world to craft their own brick-built Pokémon TCG card using LEGO® bricks, elements, and pieces. The Grand Prize Selection will see their build turned into a LEGO set!
Here are our essential guidelines for your build…
Choosing your Active Pokémon:
Head to the challenge page to see the list of fan-favorite Pokémon to choose from for this challenge. No Shiny or regional variants other than those already in the list are eligible for your creation. Let your imagination soar as you bring these iconic creatures to life using LEGO bricks!
Build a dynamic card:
Your build should be a card with a frame, showcasing your Pokémon in a vibrant and creative way. It can burst through the frame, use the frame as a backdrop, or something we never even thought of. You are the Trainer here. We’ve provided an indication of size for the frame, but the rest is up to you!
Trainer tips:
Remember, your build must contain only one Pokémon and only from the list on the challenge page . It must be an original creation of a Full Art Pokémon card (not a replica or recreation of an existing Pokémon TCG card). The face of the Pokémon must be clearly visible in the upper half of the card, with no less than 400 pcs and no more than 2500 pcs. Finally, minifigures are not allowed.
Prizes
The Grand Prize Selection will see their build turned into a LEGO set. They’ll also receive credit and compensation as described in the Product Ideas Guidelines and Terms of Service .
The Review Board will review and select up to 5 builds to move to the Fan Vote on 28 May 2026 . LEGO Ideas members can vote for their favorite build between between 28 May 2026 and 11 June 2026 .
Entries that are selected to participate in the Fan Vote, but are not selected for the Grand Prize, will receive:
72151 - Eevee
72152 - Pikachu and Poké Ball
21358 - Minifigure Vending Machine
21365 - Love Birds
21376 - Orange Cat
Head to the challenge page to enter, and submit your build by 6 May 2026 , at 6:00 AM EST .

TL;DR: You can create your own custom Pokémon full art card using just LEGO blocks from March 31st, 2026 to May 6th, and vote for your favorite submissions between May 28th and June 11th. The winner will have their submission being turned into an official LEGO set (of which they get 1% of the total net sales of that set, and 10 copies of their own - not bad tbh).

Hmm. Wonder if they’ll turn it into an actual card too.
Also they call Wailord a fan-favourite and it’s included, that makes me happy

That was my first thought as well. Although I haven’t seen anything pointing towards that yet in the blog post, though.
It wouldn’t surprise me. But it’s also cool that the entire card LEGO built will also become available as a set eventually. Depending on the price, I’ll defintely be getting one of those (although I’m not looking forward to the LEGO + Pokémon combined hype.. ).

…I wonder how many people will submit AI brick images. I hope they thought that part through. They should require a building time lapse, or authenticity verification on builds.
